This document describes a remote network monitoring system (RMON). RMON allows a network administrator to monitor and analyze data from a local area network. The system has both a server and client component. The server waits for client connections and displays each client's screen. It can move the mouse and zoom in/out on any client screen. The client sends regular screenshots to the server and can receive commands like mouse movements from the server. The system allows messages to be sent from server to client and enables remote shutdown of non-compliant clients. The objective is to securely monitor clients and prevent unauthorized access of data.
