Both cultures described in the document are remote and liberal in their social norms. They engage in rituals that would be taboo in modern Western societies. Politically and legally, the cultures do not seem concerned with formal structures and prioritize their own religious rituals instead. Economically, they are poorer than Western cultures but find meaning through social gatherings, family, friends, singing and other bonding activities. While different from modern Western societies, the cultures share similarities around socializing and were likely formed in ancient times by people seeking community away from urban areas. Any integration with Western cultures would require respecting their autonomy to change on their own terms.

Culture is a way of life. The food you eat, the clothes you wear, the language you speak in and the God you worship all are aspects of culture. In very simple terms, we can say that culture is the embodiment of the way in which we think and do things. It is also the thing that we have inherited as members of society. All the achievements of human beings as members of social groups can be called culture. Art, music, literature, architecture, sculpture, philosophy, religion and science can be seen as aspects of culture. However, culture also includes the customs, traditions, festivals, ways of living and one’s outlook on various
issues of life.

1. Remote Cultures
1) Overall Impression of both cultures
Overall, both of the cultures do not live an urban lifestyle at all, and they are
extremely liberal in terms of socializing. A lot of their rituals would be
considered taboo or even illegal in our society.
2) Implications (social, political, legal, religious, economics, others)
Both of the cultures have their own ways of socializing (such as singing,
gathering, or discipline/confrontation), neither of them seem to be serious
at all about politics or legalities, they do seem to have their own rituals that
may be somewhat relevant to religion, they both seem to be overall very
economically poor compared to us, and they both do not like to venture far.
3) How do they compare to yours
Both cultures compare to general American culture in the sense that they
gather in their own groups, whether they are family or friends, and they just
gather together and socialize and have a good time just like any of us.
4) Similarities between both cultures
Both cultures compare to each other in the sense that they are both far
from the urbanized areas, the fact that they are not political at all, and how
they have private rituals and special gatherings and music.
5) How do you think those cultures were created
Perhaps the cultures were created by somebody in the ancient days who
lived out away from everybody and who wanted to have fun and make it
seem special to himself and others.
6) What would it take to integrate those cultures to ours, should we?
In order to integrate those cultures into ours, we would have to teach them
about our rituals and show them our innovations. We should definitely not
force them to integrate into a new culture if they do not wat to change.
