Five Cliques in High School
1. Anime – One of the most unique and least known aboutcliques in my high
schoolwere anime fans. Itwould be kind of hard to tell at firstthat they
were big anime fans, but once you got to know them and paid attention to
their attitude and their style and perhaps facebook profiles, then you would
see that they havea lot of anime pictures and are really nice students who
were not extremely popular in schoolwhich is great.
2. Autistic –Another uncommon and unique clique I noticed in my high school
included special needs students who most likely met each other in a special
needs learning class. They were usually not popular at all, which is not a
bad thing; generally, they justreally enjoyed speaking to each other and
were nice and humorous to some neurotypicalstudents.
3. Homosexual – This clique was a little bit more common, and it involved
students who were obviously gay and who supported gay rights. They had a
group during lunch, but outside of that group, I would notice a few students
with bright hair and rainbow clothes and accessories hanging around during
and after school. That clique was not very big at all, but it was very
noticeable.
4. Performers –This was a pretty common clique, and it involved all of the
students who were in band, choir, and drama. Generally, those students
were all extremely friendly and talented, especially the students in honors
band and choir.
5. Popular – Obviously this clique was common, and it involved a lot of boys
and girls, generally in their freshman or senior years of high school, who
took their social lives far more seriously than their schoolwork. They were
notorious for going out and partying and getting into trouble, all the while
trying too hard to look attractive and cool.
