This reflection paper discusses a class about using technology in the classroom. The student learned about several websites for creating materials like rubrics and worksheets. They found that computers and devices can be useful tools for research and learning. The student enjoyed using PowerPoint to create presentations and learned how iPads and apps can benefit students. They wish the class had covered using the interactive whiteboard or smart board more.

Reflection Paper
This was a class that I thought was going to be very interested in and I would learn a lot
in. Turns out, I did learn a lot about websites that I can use in my future teaching. Websites that
entail making rubrics, posting power point slides, making a time line, creating math worksheets,
and many others. In this class I learned that being able to use computers and have the students
use them effectively is a great tool to have in the classroom. The students can do research in the
classroom if we have computers in there. Technology is also a huge part of the curriculum now.
Schools now have Ipads that the students can use to do multiple things on. We learned how to
use some technologies in the classroom. One of the technologies we used and liked the most was
power point. I had a lot of fun with power point; creating slide shows and presentations that will
help the students understand the material I am teaching better. Another technology we used that
I liked was the iPad and the iPod touch. I can put apps on these devices that will specifically
benefit my students. It was cool to know how many apps there are out there that benefits
learning in a positive way. Many of the apps that we talked about in class, I got on my own iPod
touch.
One of the technologies I wish we were taught was the smart board. The smart board is a
technology tool in every classroom and used by many teachers. The smart board I know will get
more advanced in things that it will be able to do, but it would have been nice to learn some of
the basics.
