Integrating Technology in
the Classroom

Spelling City
www.spellingcity.com is a very effective way
to help your students practice their spelling.
Evernote
Evernote is a great way to store information of
importance. It’s a tool that can store parent
newsletters, test, projects and more.
Smart board
The smart exchange software is perfect for
introducing and reviewing activities. There
you can find pre-made activities or create
your own.
Ladybug
I like to call it a ladybug but it is also known
as a document camera. It can project items on
the board so all students can see. I use it with
my spelling words, when I help my students
with the correct sorting of their words.
United Streaming
United Streaming allows students to watch age
appropriate material related to social studies,
science, and math teks.
people.uncw.edu/ertzbergerj/ppt_games.html
Teachers can create game shows with a free
template to use as a review lesson.
Drop Box
Teachers and students can increase
productivity while conserving valuable
computer memory.
Flux Time
Students can create animated videos and
share them with others.
Websites
I use websites in class to take the students on
virtual fieldtrips. When we are reading Mr.
Popper’s Penguins, I have a special time that
the students can see live penguins eating and
playing with each other.
