IEEE Region 6 oversees 76 student branches across a diverse geographical region with over 4000 student members, most of which are located in Region 1-6. Some of the notable student activities in Region 6 include a micromouse competition hosted by UC Santa Cruz, an IEEE Boy Scout Merit Badge day hosted by UC Riverside reaching over 150 Boy Scouts, and outreach programs by UC Berkeley and Stanford to teach electronics to younger students and hold entrepreneurial workshops.
