CENTRAL VISAYAS
GEOGRAPHY
A region of the Philippines located in central part of the
Visayas island group. It consists of four provinces- Bohol,
Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor.
 Total land Area: 15, 875 km²
 Total Population: 6, 398, 628
- making it the 5th most populous of the country’s 17 regions.
 The region is dominated by the native speakers of Cebuano.

Bugwas Festival
The Bugwas Festival is held in San Juan as the
celebration of its Annual Town Fiesta in honor of its
patron saint, St. Augustine of Hippo. It was first held
on August 26, 2006.
