How did your production skills develop through this project?
 Before starting with my magazine I needed to
do my research. I already had an idea in my
head so all I needed to do was get some ideas
from other food magazines, so I could see if
my idea was up to scratch. My idea was to add
a new, modern feel to food magazines with a
grid-like design. I soon after realised that this
would not work. If I was going to make my
magazine even half decent I would have to
incorporate some existing styles of food
magazines into my magazine.
 There was a lot to plan out before I could
take my photos and put my magazine
together with text. I needed to take into
consideration how organised I would
have to be, proper scheduling, who my
audience is and what is actually going
into my magazine.
 It was now time to take my
photographs and write my
articles. I wanted to create a
magazine that not only looks
great but is inexpensive and has
got some great recipes inside it
too. I had to take the photos for
my magazine. I was using my
brother’s camera, a Canon 1200D,
so I needed to learn how to use it
properly. Also at first writing for
quite a general group of people,
my target audience, was difficult
for me. Once I was done with the
pictures It was time to edit my
photographs and texts so that it
goes well on my magazine.
These are the unedited versions of he
photos used in my magazine
 This is where the magic
happens. In this stage I was
able to develop a few skills
quite nicely. I am now able to
use Adobe Photoshop CC 2017
to edit photos so that I can get
my desired effect for my
magazine. I am also now able
to use Lucidpress. Lucidpress
enabled be to put my
magazine together.
Throughout this whole process
I have been uploading all my
research and everything else
that I felt was important to the
creation of my magazine onto
myWordpress account. These are the software used and
the edited versions of my photos
 I would be distributing my magazine on the print
and online platforms. This gives anyone the ability
to consume the media anywhere at any time. I have
learnt that the more platforms I operate on, the
easier it should be to get known by the general
public. If I am only to stick to one platform, it will be
harder for there to be a larger percentage of the
population viewing my magazine. I will also be using
social media. There are so many people using social
media nowadays, young and old, that it would be
stupid for me not to use them.
