Reflection Paper on Educational Tour
Before the tour begins we prepare the things that are needed on the tour. We know that
tour or fieldtrip is costly and extravagant on time. The first questions of the parents are how
costly the tour was. So we introduce the budget of the three days educational tour. After fixing all
of the requirements in the educational tour we our now preparing the personal need. We our
oriented that we must bring light things, that just needed in the tour. When all the things are
settled we are now prepare for the tour. On our meeting place we are oriented to be on the group
all the time. We have the checklist or educational observation and learning sheet. In this there are
things need to write on the observation on educational tour. On our way to I feel dizzy because
it’s been a month that I didn’t travel that far. But the help of my classmate I feel ok. When we
have arrived our first stop was to take our breakfast. It is hard to find a meal that is fit to our
budget because we only have 5o pesos for every meal. So we find a place and luckily we have
found and then we eat. After our breakfast we will now going to the first place of the itinerary the
UIC Elementary and High school located at Jp Laurel Ave. Bajada Davao City. My first reaction
was “WOW” the place is so nice it is clean and properly developed. When Sir introduces the
head of the school I’m still amaze to the place because it is my first time in that school. We tour
the whole place of the school. They introduce to us the faculty and staff, the facilities they have.
We didn’t conduct observation on learning process because it is the schedule of their exam. So
we just pass by the hall and slight observe the rooms. After that we are gathered to their function
hall to orient and give us some information about their school. I appreciate their teacher because
they share they knowledge not only on academic but also in religious form. After the brief
orientation we move out to go to our lodging and take our lunch. After we have rooms and fix
our things we was given a time to rest and then we will be going to our next stop the sped school
located at Bangkal Davao City. They warm welcome us to there school. They give us also brief
orientation were they teach us basic learning that is need for us to communicate to those special
student they have. I appreciate the dedication of the teacher in this school. They have big effect
to the students they have. After the orientation we give us a tour to their classrooms. They have
different rooms for different learners they have. They have also facilities that are needed for the

2. learning of the student they have. It is not easy to teach that kind of student. I bow to their hard
work with there students to make them learn. We end our first day of educational tour in the
NCCC Mall. We have given a time to rooming around the mall after that we go back to our
sleeping place and take our dinner. We have a curfew time of nine all of us been in the room and
have rest for the next day. We was meeting that our departure time on the next day was 7 so we
sleep early then rise at 3 am for us to prepare for the next school to visit for. Our next itinerary
was the Ateneo De Davao University elementary and high school. The elementary major were go
to elementary building then the secondary were in the high school building. They give us a tour
on there school. They introduce to us the facilities they have. As I observe I appreciate that they
have advance learning for their student because it is complete in facilities. Their tuition is high
but the educations they get were corresponding to what they pay. I also observe that their
learning environment was effective to learning. We spent the half day of the time we couldn’t
observe a regular class because it is the day that they celebrate the fiesta of their school. After we
have done tour in ADDU we went to Mindanao Kokusai Daigaku we observe there students in
the performance they presented. They welcome us and give us orientation and brief information
of the school. They teach us the proper way of dressing the Japanese dress they have. And they
teach us some common Japanese word that corresponds to our language. After how many ours
we go to a place were we can take our lunch. After we have our lunch we go to the next school
the Ateneo de Davao University we was tour by there selected students. We was just following
them they never tell us what is this place the place I appreciate more is there library. They have 5
floors for the different section of the books they have in there library. After that we went back to
our van to go to the next school and finally the last one. The University of Immaculate College
we was welcomed by there presentation. After that we have observed the whole school. It is nice
and clean and wide. After that it is time to get rest. It’s a tired day we get rest and sleep. On the
next day I’m excited to go home. But before we got home we buy lots of pasalubong for our love
ones. And after lunch we travel back and got home. It is direct experiences that lot of learning
acquire and maintain to our mind. Educational tour or fieldtrip will bring us to the world beyond
the class room that could give us concrete learning that we would never forget. It’s a nice
experience that I have in my EDUC 125 subject and I’m thankful for giving me opportunities to
learn more that could help developed my abilities to become a good teacher in the future.
