Alfie Horwell kept a reflective diary over 4 weeks documenting their progress on a production project. In week 1, they were unable to achieve their filming goals due to camera issues but continued working on their app design. In week 2, they completed all their filming within a time constraint and improved their app design. In week 3, they focused more on designing menus and navigation for their app. Finally, in week 4, they overcame editing challenges to complete their production and upload it to their site.

2. Week 1
• The first week of production I haven’t been able to achieve what I was hoping
as the camera capture system for the Sony hi8 wasn’t working meaning that I
wouldn’t be able to film as I wanted to film the normal footage and Sony hi8
footage in tandem to make it feel more natural and clean rather than on
separate days which would take away that feeling, I also am going to buy a
separate hi8 tape for this project just to keep things clearer for myself. I have
began to work on my app display a bit more though by finishing off the map
with the locations and a small ui for the user which I'm going to make
interactive. The next step in my production is going to be getting my capture
card for my Sony hi8 sorted and to begin filming along with building up more
for my app.

3. Week 2
• This week I did all of my filming on the Tuesday and getting all the shots I
wanted even under a time constraint and having 1 person not able to come. I
had another friend help with this however which made the work load
significantly easier and less like a chore rather than something fun to do. The
film on the Sony hi8 also came out well achieving that specific look I was
wanting, I did have to use my phone for the non hi8 shots however which was
not a major setback but would have liked to have used a more professional
camera that college offers but I worked with what I had easily. I have also made
improvements on my app concept, making a front page and small menu for the
icons on the front that hold small descriptions of each store that we visited and
ones that we didn’t. all that is really left to do that is major is to collect the
footage off the Sony hi8 and my phone then edit them together which may
take a while but is nothing I cant deal with.

4. Week 3
• This week I decided to spend some more time on my figma app by adding a
menu of sorts by using images to represent each section the user can go to, so
the top one would be the map, middle is the stores and bottom is food style
places. The menu on the right is a small representation of what the store menu
could look like I intend on improving it and making it a bit more cohesive and
polished. I also took the time to add a task/tool bar at the bottom to give the
user a bit more ui to use the app with each button having a function of
showing the user maps, location, their account etc.

5. Week 4
• I was finally able to finish my production after having some issues with editing, it
took me a while to finish as I had to edit each frame to fit the scale and had to
render it multiple times just to see if it was correctly placed in the scale but I
eventually got it done and uploaded on my site.
