The student used various media technologies throughout the construction, research, planning, and evaluation stages of their project. YouTube tutorials helped with learning Photoshop and creating an effective radio advertisement. Survey Monkey was used to conduct market research and get audience feedback. Adobe Fireworks and Photoshop were used to design graphics like a newspaper and billboard. Audacity and a condenser microphone were used for recording voxpops and a radio advert. An iPhone was used to take photos and email work. Blogger created an online blog to present work. Presentation websites like Prezi and Powtoon created visually appealing presentations.

2. Introduction :
 Throughout my production I have used so many media technologies , so that I
can create the best product possible , I used the technologies through each
stages of production , just so I can make sure that the whole product looks
professional .

 Throughout my production I have used so many media technologies , so that I

stages of production , just so I can make sure that the whole product looks
professional . Furthermore YouTube also allowed me to work around my radio
advert in the sense that it let me look for what should be in a advert , but
also certain sounds that I could use to make it sound the best it can be .
Certain YouTube tutorials that I used along the way was a Photoshop one
because I was unsure of how to use it , this can been seen in my work because
my work is effective and solely from tutorials .

4. Survey Monkey :
 www.surveymonkey.com is a website which allowed me to create
online questionnaires that act as market research for our unit. This
website has become very beneficial for the researching element of my
work, as it gave me the opportunity to ask my target market a series
of questions about newspaper , this included generally what would
they like to see. Furthermore when I had completed the project I
produced a ‘post production survey’ which was created using the
same website. This allowed the audience to provide me with feedback
to the finished product so that I could have a true understanding of its
effectiveness, which this information could then be used to find areas
of improvement for future projects.

5. Adobe Fireworks :
 Fireworks was one of the biggest pieces of software in my overall production
of work , this was because I built my newspaper from its foundations on this
programme . I started with a blank canvas and then carried on from this point
, fireworks was 100% a successful programme because it allowed me to move
certain aspects of my newspaper to where I want them , an example of this is
that it allowed me to move my masthead around to get it perfect .
Furthermore on fireworks there was also a lot of texts that were available for
me to use so I used these mostly on my contents page .

6. Adobe Photoshop :
 Adobe Photoshop is a really professional programme that I used mainly
for one of my ancillaries in the billboard , I used the fading effect that
is available . The effect allowed me to create a fade within images of
Corby and this looked really professional , but in the process I was
unsure on how to create it and had to use a YouTube tutorial on how
to make it work effectively . But I stuck with the tutorials and created
a really effective billboard which looked like something that would be
in my local town .

7. Condenser microphone and Audacity :
 For the creation of voxpops and my radio advert I used the
microphone Audio Technica AT4033 to record my work. The
microphone was key because it gave a clear and crisp tone to my
voice , also by using the condenser it reduced the surrounding noise .
The big positive with the microphone is that it plugs into the laptop
via USB , straight into audacity . Audacity was a good program to use
because it allowed me to edit within it and also let me download
sound effects straight into it , so this was a key component of my
overall production .

8. IPhone :
 My IPhone was a key aspect within my work this year , because I used my
phone to email my work across from my phone on to the computer , this was
useful because due to restrictions on school computers some times I couldn’t
upload pictures so I had to email . Furthermore on pictures , I used my IPhone
6 to take the majority of my photos also throughout , the reason for this is
because the IPhone camera produces clear and crisp photos so this was my
decisions to used this .

9. Blogger :
 Blogger is a online website which allowed me to create my own blog , this
blog was used for me to present all of my work throughout the year. Also I
used the other presentation devices as mentioned further on to present my
work with embedded links within blogger. The software also allowed me to
place my work into different sections so that it makes it more simplistic to
locate work. The website also provides a comment section for each post
which is beneficial for the evaluation stage of the work as it enables us to
view audience feedback which is useful for finding improvements that could
be added to the work.

10. Presentation websites :
 Throughout this unit of work, I have used a a lot of presentation software’s in
order to present my work in a different manors. This is beneficial as it makes
it easier to digest the information that I am presenting to the audience.
Throughout this unit I have used the tools from a number of websites which
include, Prezi, Powtoon, Slideshare, Googleshare etc. This allowed me to
create the best work possible , because I was able to present my work in a
visually appealing way .
