Editor's Notes

  • #7 It is not necessary to put brackets around the numbers in your list of references. Just the number with a full stop is the correct way. 1. Surname should be first, followed by the initial (i.e. the first letter of the first name). Wiekart R. Palgrave Macmillan is the name of the publisher and should appear next to the place of publication and publication date. New York: Palgrave Macmillan; 2004. This author has written the whole book, so it is not necessary to identify the chapter in the book. You only do this if the book has been edited and each chapter is written by a different author. Just the title of the book is OK. From Darwin to Hitler: evolutionary ethics, eugenics and racism in Germany. Do not use capital letters in the titles unless it is a proper name like Darwin or a name of a country like Germany. From Darwin to Hitler: evolutionary ethics, eugenics and racism in Germany. The number of pages in a book is indicated by p (lower case) not P (upper case) 312 p.
