I am recommending Amanda Littlejohn to receive a Merit Award Scholarship. I am Amanda’s
instructor for an introductory psychology course at Everest College. I have been working with
Amanda for 10 weeks. With 2 weeks to go in the course, Amanda’s grade is over 99%. She is
one of 6 students (of 21) with A’s in the class, and this class can be very challenging.
This course requires a student to complete a variety of assessments, including quizzes,
teamwork activities, discussion board activities, and written assignments. Amanda excels in
every area. She has outstanding study skills, and she is committed to frequent participation.
Amanda is detail oriented and supportive of her fellow students. Early in the course, Amanda
was preparing to have a baby. She was very careful to get ahead in her work to assure that she
did not fall behind. I was very impressed at Amanda’s dedication and motivation during a very
hectic time in her life.
