Thirst: What Drives Social Media CampaignsMike Johnston
In the first half the 20th century public relations drove consumer perception. And the likes of Edward Bernays – the man who coined the term public relations – manipulated the media to influence consumers with the three great motivators: sex, greed, and fear.

My Mother My hero
Once I think of a hero, there are specific qualities that surround my imagination, being courageous, hardworking, truthful, strong, resilient, and generous have been the qualities I taught about. I also think a hero is someone protective, caring, and so concerned to change the life of the others and make them happy in their life. My Mother has all these qualities and recognizes her as my hero. Otherwise, she grew up on the support of two great parents who had a good life where she grew up and become a teacher in her life. Almost every individual has had some achievements in their life, and there must be a factor behind those achievements, especially someone who had a significant impact on their life. My mother appears to be my hero, who had a substantial impact on my life.
She is currently 54 years old. She was a teacher by profession, and she did her best as a teacher, where she influenced the lives of many students positively; up to now, some still call her and pass their appreciation to her. She was blessed and gave birth to seven kids; the first three are daughters, then a boy and a girl, and then the last two are boys. All of them have been significantly raised, everyone has something to do for a living, my big brother is a doctor, and three of my sisters are teachers, (like Mother like daughters). Our last born is an engineer interior designer and all of us are married with happy family. All these were not for granted but because of the love of God and the efforts, commitment, and great concern of our beloved parents, especially our Mother.
Even though she did not make a complete journey in her teaching profession, but up to where she stopped, she did a lot. They have been in a relationship with my father for thirty-six years of marriage, and when they had their third kid, my dad suggested that she stop teaching and remain at home to take care of the children. Throughout my entire life, my Mother had been supportive of me, a center of inspiration, and she has always been telling me to have self-confidence and believe in myself that I can make it. In case I face a problem, and I have to make a concrete decision towards it, my Mother always had behind me because I seek for her consultation before I move on to the next step.
It feels so great knowing that there is someone who will support you despite the intensity of the problem you face. It relieves much of the stress that comes along with making decisions. My Mother is beautiful inside and out, but most importantly, she has the biggest heart. She's a hard-working person and can play both parent roles. Everyon ...

Guided Response As you read the responses of your classmates, con.docxJeanmarieColbert3
Guided Response:
As you read the responses of your classmates, consider how their negative educational experience could have been changed to support student learning. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ posts. Provide additional suggestions for them in creating their own positive, stimulating learning environment. Be sure to respond to any queries or comments posted by your instructor.

The biggest negative experience that I have had is with a previous employer, and it was my first day as a preschool teacher in a facility nearby. On my first day, I walked into a situation that made a huge impact on the way I viewed this facility. When I started that day, I was told that I would not be in “my classroom” that I would be filling in for a teacher that was out that day. I didn’t have an issue with that fact and was actually up for the challenge. But when I entered the classroom I noticed there were no rules, no structure, no lesson plans and the classroom was complete chaos. I managed to create some spur of the moment lessons and engaged in music as much as possible. Then when it was time for lunch, and I went to serve it, it was pure sugar and very unhealthy. I left for the day feeling defeated, tired, frustrated and stressed and nowhere to turn. I expressed my concerns throughout the day along with a lot of severe health issues to the owner and was brushed off. I care a lot about the children’s safety and their learning environment, and I felt like I was drowning. Needless to say, I ended up moving on from that position because I felt helpless and without a direction to improve anything.
I have had several positive experiences throughout my educational background. The classrooms were always welcoming, warm and inviting and it showed that the teachers cared about their classrooms and their students. Those classrooms made me excited about becoming a teacher and gave me something to work towards in the future.
“The foundation for successful learning and a safe and secure classroom climate is the relationship that teachers develop with their students (Sousa, Tomlinson, 2011)”. The teacher-student relationship is something that should be built on from day one. If the students do not trust or know you, they will feel uneasy and unsafe in the classroom environment. It is so important to form the relationship with your students to ensure communication and safety of your students. Another way to provide a positive learning environment is with your attitude. If you have a positive and fun attitude, it will show through your lessons and your students will enjoy being in your class every day which will affect how they learn. Lastly, the organization is a big key to a positive and stimulating learning environment. If your classroom is packed full of stuff or the students, do not know where materials are it can cause frustrations for you and your students.
I firmly believe there are no stupid questions! I want to ensure my stude.
1. Nominator's Name: Amber Marion
Mentor Teacher Name: Beth Csiszer
School Name: Hunter Street Elementary School
Mrs. Csiszer has been an amazing mentor and role model since the first time I walked in her
classroom. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with such a gifted teacher.
From the beginning, Mrs. Csiszer has been completely supportive of my decisions and my
teaching. She is constantly telling me that I can try whatever methods of teaching I would like;
all she cares about is that "the students are learning." She has always been open to and even
asks for new ideas from my classes at Winthrop. She has treated me as her co-worker and as an
equal, rather than a student or an intern, and has made me already feel like a true teacher at
Hunter Street Elementary. Her confidence in me has tremendously improved my confidence in
myself and in my teaching; she has never second-guessed me or my decisions. Not only has she
been fully supportive of my decisions, but she has consistently asked for my input about her
decisions regarding the students in the classroom. She is always asking for a second opinion
about her thoughts of best practice for her students (even though her ideas and hunches are
usually right on point). She truly has the students' best interest at heart. Open communication
with Mrs. Csiszer has been a huge reason for my success as an intern. She has always made me
feel comfortable to ask questions, call her, email her, etc. at any time. She always discussed her
plans for teaching with me before she taught and gave me multiple reasons as to why each
lesson she taught was important for the students to learn. She could always give reasoning
behind all of her actions in the classroom, and she really helped me to understand a lot of
things about teaching that I had never really had experience with prior to this internship. Mrs.
Csiszer helped me understand and learn how to break down test scores, such as MAP Testing
results, to analyze each student's changing levels of achievement. She taught me how to use
this data to divide students for small group instruction for specific skills students needed to
practice. In the classroom, I was always learning a new way to teach content or handle personal
issues with individual students from Mrs. Csiszer's examples. Before leaving school just about
EVERY day, she would always ask me, "Is there anything I can do to help you?" and "Do you
have any questions about anything?" I had the opportunity to see Mrs. Csiszer work
collaboratively with many other teachers and faculty at the school, such as Ms. Hullender, the
Resource teacher and Ms. Gupton, the Assistant Principal; Mrs. Csiszer always included me in
these conversations with co-works so that I was always aware of what was going on in the
classroom and in the school. Throughout the school year, Mrs. Csiszer went above and beyond
to help me, other co-workers, and most importantly, her students. She maintained a positive,
calm, and collected attitude on a daily basis, despite the many difficulties and struggles with
students in her classroom. She is at school early every day and stays long after the bell to plan.
She was a great example of showing how hard work and dedication produces results for
student achievement. There is data to prove this for her class!! Mrs. Csiszer was an amazing
mentor and friend, and any intern would be lucky to have her guidance. She always gave me
and everyone else all she had, and just when you thought she had nothing else to give, she
would give more and do something even more extraordinary than everything she had already
done. I'm not sure how I am going to get through my first teaching job without her being there,
but I know I would not have made it through this internship without her guidance and support.
In my opinion, she is completely worthy all three awards being given.
