The document discusses four potential filming locations for a short film. Each location poses similar risks: wet floors that could cause actors to slip, and exposed tree roots or logs that could cause actors to trip. The filmmaker notes these hazards and says the actors will need to be aware of them and careful. The locations are described as forested areas that are open enough for actors to move around, fitting the film's setting and needs.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
1. Recce
This is the firstlocation for my shortfilm. The risks
with filminghere are that the floor is quite wet so my
actors could slip and hurtthemselves if the floor is wet
when I go to filmmy shortfilm. Also there are quite a
few tree roots stickingoutin the area that I am filming
in so my actors will need to be awareof their presence
so that they don’t accidently trip over them and hurt
themselves. This is a good location for my one of my
scenes in my short filmas itis in a forestwhich is
where I wanted my shortfilmto be set but is also
open enough so that my actors have room to move
around.
This is another location for my shortfilmand it is
similar in thatthe main hazards arethat if the floor is
still wet then my actors could slip up and hurt
themselves and that some trees have exposed tree
roots which my actors could trip over so if I filmin
these conditions I will haveto make sure that my
actors arecareful so that they don’t injurethemselves.
I think this is a good location becauseagain likethe
firstImage itis in a forest which is where my shortfilm
is set and there aren’t too many obstacles thatcould
get in the way of my actors.
The third location again has the same hazards as the
last two with the possibility that if the floor is wet then
my actors could slip and also there are quite a few logs
on the ground which my actors could trip over and
injure themselves. I think that this would be a good
location for my short film because it is an open area
where my actors could meet.
And similarly to my other locations the main
hazards of the location are that if the floor is wet
my actors could fall over, and some exposed three
roots that my actors could trip over so I will need
to again ensure that my staff are aware of the risks
of my location. I think this is a good location for my
short filmas it fits what I want my location to be
perfectly and it is open enough to give my actors
movement but also enclosed enough to make my
characters question where they are.
