S C O P E O F W O R K
The Multi-Role Tanker Transport Project (MRTT) is the largest aviation modification project, for the Royal
Australian Air Force, in Australia’s history (2.3 Billion AUD). I have been a part of this project for over six years,
working in Project Planning (1st
six months), Project Payroll, Logistics and Human Resources roles. This included
modification of the payroll systems and processes to deliver outcomes that were required for the project.
To build the capability required for this project, the labour model was always going to be complex. I have applied
and interpreted the relevant agreements of five Qantas Enterprise Bargaining Agreements for the AMWU, TECH
& Salaried, ASU, CEPU, MWU, plus the QDS EBA and four labour hire companies. The four labour hire
companies were Australian Aviation, Aviation Labour Group, Bermil and Aircraft Structural Contractors, all with
different terms and conditions. Plus common law contracts for executive staff from the Director to International
Conversion Specialists through to scaffolding and TA’s.
My work also included the conduct of investigations, close out procedures for the projects, staff redeployment,
final inspections, and conciliation meetings.

Position: HR Manager and BDM (Business Development Manager)
Date: January 2015 – November 2015
Company: The Bonelli Group – Civil Construction and Plant Hire/Training.
Role: Recruitment for the business was focused on the Plant Hire side of the
Civil Construction business of the Bonelli Group. Developed from less
than 10 permanent staff to recruit over 60 in 8 months. Ranging in scope
from RPEQ Qualified Engineers to Laborers. Change management
process implemented with the introduction of Bullying Policies, Code of
Conduct and a Discipline and Correction policy. Registered the EBA and
enforced the terms and conditions of the agreement. Dealt with the
Industrial Relation disputes including the Federal Circuit Court
representation for the Company. Documented the sales procedures,
updated customer database and develop MOU’s with strategic players
that add value to the business in the civil space. Created a capability
statement. As BDM networked with Construction Skills Queensland,
promoted opportunities at Farm Fantastic. Created a capability Statement
to sell the business. Business Development - Startup of the Training
Business developed the business plan fro training, hired the Training
Manager. Network with Project Manager’s with the AIPM, the Caloundra
Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sunny Coast Alliance.
Working with Politicians, business owners, recruitment companies and
training organisations to bring about a culture of learning, development
and opportunities for growth.

Date: Mar 2010–Aug 2013
Company: Qantas Airways Ltd seconded to Qantas Defence Services.
Role: To work with Airbus Military to develop the first prototype of the Multi Role
Tanker for the Defence of Australia worth $2.3 Billion with 235 staff at
peak. Able to deliver fuel to three strike fighters at a time plus a payload
of personnel and equipment. Worked over a six-year period in different
capacities including planning, payroll and HR. Payroll included 5 legacy
EBAS each with their own union agreement, and QDS agreement, four
labour hire companies and common law contracts. The staff were
deployed across three hangars in Brisbane, one in Sydney one in Madrid

with their MRTT project a small team in Dubai. Involved in booking
tickets, organising secondments across the Qantas Engineering Network.
Cat 2 Airside Licence with Security Clearance for Defence Projects.
Airside stores from hangar 3 and stores airside at the international
terminal. Qantas EBA’s are legacy EBA’s of between 400-500 + pages in
size. Interpretation, implementation and dispute resolution with the
various unions were part of this experience.

S C O P E O F W O R K The Multi-Role Tanker Transport Project (MRTT) is the largest aviation modification project, for the Royal Australian Air Force, in Australia’s history (2.3 Billion AUD). I have been a part of this project for over six years, working in Project Planning (1st six months), Project Payroll, Logistics and Human Resources roles. This included modification of the payroll systems and processes to deliver outcomes that were required for the project. To build the capability required for this project, the labour model was always going to be complex. I have applied and interpreted the relevant agreements of five Qantas Enterprise Bargaining Agreements for the AMWU, TECH & Salaried, ASU, CEPU, MWU, plus the QDS EBA and four labour hire companies. The four labour hire companies were Australian Aviation, Aviation Labour Group, Bermil and Aircraft Structural Contractors, all with different terms and conditions. Plus common law contracts for executive staff from the Director to International Conversion Specialists through to scaffolding and TA’s. My work also included the conduct of investigations, close out procedures for the projects, staff redeployment, final inspections, and conciliation meetings.
