This document discusses three uncommon fracture cases:
1) A lesser trochanter fracture in an athletic teenager, which is rare due to muscle protection. Diagnosis is through x-rays and treatment is typically nonsurgical.
2) A clavicle (collarbone) fracture, usually in the middle due to direct blows. Symptoms include a sagging shoulder and pain when moving the arm. Treatment focuses on nonoperative methods.
3) An impacted fracture caused by high-energy injuries such as collisions or falls that twist or bend the bone at odd angles. The case image shows a patient who came to the pediatrics department with a traumatic right leg injury.
