4. Q1. ID X.
The story of the relaunch of X is a dramatic one that has been oft-repeated: the first
edition of the paper was printed in red ink and released on the evening of March 22
1922, when Holi was being celebrated. It cost 2 paise, covered four pages, and sold
1,000 copies on the very first day.
The colour of the paper led to it being described as a ‘danger signal’; it lived up to
the sobriquet, proving to be a thorn in the flesh of the British with its staunch
patriotism.
By 1954, it had become the largest circulated newspaper in the country published
from one location, according to the Press Commission Report.
Presently the X Group has 11 publications, including The Telegraph, Ei Bela, Unish
Kuri, Fortune India; three news channels; and one book publishing business in its
fold.

the press and the public, the bottled water was taken down to

10. Q3. What made the village one of a kind?
Local legend has it that three centuries ago, the Raja of Cooch Behar and the
faujdar of a district in Mughal Bengal played chess with local villages as wager.
These matches must have been closely fought, since neither player won a clean
victory and pockets of land were left behind in Mughal and Cooch Behari
territory.
A curious example of this was the small village of Dahala Khagrabari (now a
part of Bangladesh since 2015), where once a pregnant lady in labour was
refused treatment and instead was threatened with arrest under Section 14 of
Foreigners Act. What made this village one of a kind and led to the inception of

issues of enforced disappearances and fake encounters in a certain region of
the country, and the impact they have on those left behind or witnessing the
everyday violence.
The short film also references art from other parts of the world. One shot, for
instance, zooms in on graffiti that at first glance looks like an artwork by an

viewers of the many pellet victims in the region, including children, who have
lost their eyesight because of this so-called “non-lethal” weapon.

the female character in favour of the protagonists character arc.
