6. A 1920’s book by American historian _____________which was a critical
analysis and a direct attack on Indian society, religion and culture. Book
created outrage across India, and it was burned along with her effigy. Annie
Besant called it "a remarkably wicked book slandering the whole Indian
people". Another person X heavily criticized it calling it the report of a drain
inspector. Three decades later a Hindi epic film Y was made which was a
deliberate rebuke to the American historian’s book. Y is also the title of
book.

9. As a child this anecdote was shared to me and quite sure to most of
other children in India. The story goes as… ‘on an ordinary day, X
opened his letters and to his surprise, found that they were from
Japan. The letters addressed to him were written by school children.
The strange request the letters carried amused him. The Japanese
school children asked him for an ________ in gift.’ The reason why
the Japanese wanted it was because, during the war they had lost
two of them. Immediately, he set about finding the present. When his
search ended he sent it to Japan. The gift was named after X’s
daughter.

12. The story of first nizam of Hyderabad goes as that the Pir, Hazrat
Nizamuddin, invited him for a meal and offered him X tied in a yellow cloth.
The hungry nizam (to become) ate seven of X and after his meal Hazrat
Nizamuddin blessed him that one day he would be king and his descendants
would rule for seven generations. The prophecy soon came true when
Mughal empire collapsed and surprisingly the dynasty was ruled by the next
seven generations.The seventh descendent Nawab Sir Osman Ali Khan joined the
Indian union.
As a gratitude to the saint who had blessed him the first nizam did something
to commemorate the saint and which eventually led to the immense
popularity of X across India and is still a popular delicacy.

14. X - KULCHA
The symbol of kulcha was adopted as a part of his royal insignia and yellow to
colour of his flag to denote the cloth in which the pir’s kulchas were packed.
15. In the second set of his book, X shifts from the grief-stricken
Tang era to the quaint dwelling of the English poet and

18. First originated in France and were later developed in Australia because of
the high demands and usage! These are quite popular in other countries too
and it is also said that they interrupt the natural cycle of soil erosion and

For the first time they were scene in India around late 1950's. They could be

He played a crucial role in the Manhattan Project that during World War II produced
the first nuclear weapons, he’s now remembered as the”father of the atomic bomb.”
The first atomic bomb was successfully detonated on July 16, 1945, in the Trinity test in New
Mexico. Oppenheimer later remarked that it brought to mind words from the Bhagavad Gita:
"Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."

much. I attended Queen Elizabeth’s coronation in 1953, trained as an engineer and
was decorated with service medals.”

40. Tibetan Buddhists split into different schools and sects based on different interpretations of

Sometime in the 1640s, on the advice of the 5th Dalai Lama in Lhasa, Mera Lama decided to

overlooking a beautiful valley. Thinking it was a divine message, Mera Lama decided to shift
his headquarters to this new site, which he named _ _ _ _ _ _ or ‘Chosen by a Horse’.
Though the exact date of its construction is not known, it is estimated that it was built between
1643 and 1647 CE.
