Capitalizing on their recent surge in popularity, the remastered version of this
2013 game was released recently.
The developers, known for storytelling with their products, are known to some
great easter eggs in their games. One of theses can be seen in the Pittsburgh
section of the game, where the player enters a smashed window into a building
that looks identical to that of a sitcom location.
As the protagonist moves towards the front of the room, we see the welcome
desk, main room and the front door, completely blocked with couches and desks.

Charles Belgrave.
In 1925, Belgrave, a former Sudan, Siwa Oasis and Tanganyika Territory officer, was
considered eligible to be posted to the eastern province of Bahrain ruled by Al Khalifa.
Among other things, his most lasting contribution for the region was X. X was and is
used to “control” a certain resource imported in the region - viewed as both a

roasted for by Barney. For comic fans, it's the home of Calvin and Hobbes. For

“Heart of Darkness” by Joseph Conrad is a 1899 narrative
novella. It revolves around the sailor Charles Marlow telling
his listeners the story of his assignment as steamer captain
for a Belgian company on the river X.
This book is much lauded as it dealt with the themes of
Imperialism and Racism - issues that were very rampant in
those times but very rarely addressed.
Identify the river X, second longest of its continent, central to
the plot of the book.
The book also inspired a 1979 movie adaptation set in
Vietnam/Cambodia, away from the original settings. Identify

modern day retelling of X - an age old tale. Few of the references to the same are given below:
● In the game, everything begins with Alex Bulder’s death (Max’s partner)- his death plunges

● We have Alfred Woden (image in the next slide) - a very influential man and controls the
entire situation from the background.
● We have Nicole Horne who’s death signifies the all out war between Payne and realm of
crime.
● X is a gothic nightclub in this universe and the operational base of Jack Lupino aka Mr.
Beast. One more?

Created by agency BBDO, this spot was filmed in November 1997 and aired the following year.
It features X, walking through the snowy streets with his granddaughter, Anastasia, with the city
visible in the background.
Entering a Y to grab a quick bite to eat, another family enjoying their lunch notice X and begin to
bicker over the impact X had on the nation.
The father argues: “Because of him we have economic confusion, political instability, chaos.” The
son, meanwhile, protests: “Because of him, we have opportunity, hope, freedom.” Finally, the
mother interjects: “Because of him we have many things... like Y.” Then everyone grabs a slice
and salute X!
Unfortunately, this video was never aired in X’s homeland - due to annotations that demeaned
his nation.

As road to Wrestlemania heats up after the Royal Rumble, the final pay per view
before the mega event has been X Y. Brainchild of Triple H, it consists of a big cage
that encloses the ring and has 4 pods in it. 2 wrestlers begin the match and after
every 5 minutes, a new wrestler is released from one of the pods and joins the fight.
All the 6 wrestlers are trapped inside until we have just 1 winner.
But due to these stipulations and specifically using the word Y, WWE felt the need to
have this event called No Escape in Europe.
Which specific country were they trying to not upset due to the other annotations of

Every year tourists from around the globe flock to Verona just to see this complex. The balcony,
on of the buildings, belongs to the aptly named La Casa di <blank>. It was the former home of
the Cappello family and the inspiration for the X’s family name.
Many “sick” linger in the garden below, pose for pictures on the balcony, or attach letters filled
with sweet nothings to the walls. Many people also leave their mark through graffiti and sticking
chewing gum to the walls, some of the blobs being shaped into crude hearts.
People even send mail to X. There is a local volunteer group that is dedicated to responding to
the thousands upon thousands of letters that pour in annually from people desperately seeking
advice.
Identify X, nothing more than a figment of a writer’s imagination is now a central part of Verona’s
tourism industry.

Walter White. At their core, they were both scientists, teachers and both were
diagnosed with cancer.
In 1927, X published his best known contribution to science. He also made

the atomic nucleus, ferromagnetism, cosmic rays, and subatomic particles, and
he was instrumental in planning the first West German nuclear reactor at
Karlsruhe, together with a research reactor in Munich, in 1957. Considerable
controversy surrounds his work on atomic research during World War II.

Colorado Rockies. Bryan Cranston was also honoured with throwing the
opening pitch at a game.
The name of the team is an homage to Y, whose local baseball team is the
Springfield X - also a plot point in 2001, S12 E15 of Y where the team’s plans of
moving to Albuquerque were thwarted by a hungry protagonist.
It is also a big reference to the history of the state of New Mexico.

This 2010s movie follows the story of an ‘architect’ as he forms his dream team to
commit one last espionage on his way to redemption.
The movie showcases a classic optical illusion, X, for the first time in a scene where
the protagonist uses it to depict an infinite scape in a finite world. X also highlights
the significance of mazes and paradoxical structure in the protagonist's profession.
The structure always leads one to the same place again and again!
Named after a father-son duo of mathematicians, the illusion was introduced as an
impossible in 3-D object on paper in the 1950s. A letter exchange regarding the
subject between the two reads:
“The thing] form a closed, circular construction, rather like [...]. And yet they can be

The Bird Box

Created in early 2000s, this artwork has become a recognisable motif for peaceful
resistance and nonviolent protest.
- The artwork features a man with covered face, trying to hide his identity. This
detail draws parallel with the artist himself, as the artist is known to be rather
elusive.
- The man’s posture echoes the images of protests. However, despite the
aggression in his posture, the protester appears to be a pacifist, given what he is
holding.
The artwork came as a protest against erection of a structure a year before, which,
according to the artist made “<redacted> the world’s largest open-air prison.” While
on country claims, the structure was a necessity to protect itself from terrorism, the
other country claims the structure to be a means of racial segregation.

The recent launch party of a cultural centre that celebrates and aims to preserve
various Indian artforms was a great affair.
The exhibit that runs until June, 2023 aims to showcase how India’s been a

The curator of the cultural centre has architecturally recreated moments from the
event for the show’s layout:
- The big umbrellas at the centre, parallel to the parasols at the event.
- A big hand-embroidered banyan tree made using organza parallel to a tree

occasions.
The years 2020 and 2021 were hard for local store owners, so to support them, the a
campaign was launched that allowed local store owners to create personalised

Concerns were raised regarding the tech used in recreation of the videos at such a
large scale, about its similarity to another type of synthetic media which has gained
notoriety in the past years, a topic on which some of you will probably work in your
future projects :P.

extremely smart product placement. Many might have thought that the act was a

applauded the stunt, “for making the most
out of it”and have termed it as “definitely
worth not taking an upfront fee”
