deep-geologic placement
Yucca Mountain
DOE had originally said that the area might expect an earthquake
about every 10,000 years
A 5.0 earthquake had rocked the area and did some damage to the
media reception area, display center, cafeteria and office complex.
Repairs and seismic improvements were estimated to cost
approximately $2 million.
A second 4.4 quake struck this volcanic area on June 4, 2002, centered
12 ½ miles away. It caused no damage.
There are 39 earthquake faults and 7 young volcanoes in the area
DOE=Yucca Mountain is stable and that burying 77,000 tons of
spent radioactive fuel rods and high level waste would be safe 600
to 950 feet under the mountain.
Plutonium 239 isotopes have a ½ life of 22,000 years, it needs to be
kept isolated out of the air and water for a very long time.
DOE spokesmen is 10,000 years, a figure that may be grossly
underestimated.

Fukushima Radiation Blamed For Thousands Of Sick

Disaster 1,000 Times Worse Than IAEA Estimate
4/9/2013 – “Radiation from Japan’s nuclear disaster could be the
reason why more than a thousand sick sea lion pups have washed up
on the beaches of Southern California in the past few months, experts
believe.

An ion is an atom, molecule, or elementary
particle that has lost or gained one or more
electrons
positive ion has lost one or more electrons
negative ion has gained one or more electrons
Ionization is the process of adding or removing
electrons so as to form ions and can be caused by
high temperatures, electrical discharges, or nuclear
radiation.
Ionizing radiation includes x-rays, gamma rays,
beta particles, alpha particles, and lots of other
high-energy particles (neutrons, positrons, etc.).
When ionizing radiation passes through matter it
can ionize it.
Ionizing radiation can cause cell damage as it
passes through living tissue.
Nuclear Radiation
Radiation-induced skin reactions
Uranium
Uranium oxide = inhaled it sticks to the lining of the lungs, it is
taken up by cells of the immune systems and gets into lymph glands,
bone, brain, hormone producing glands, ovaries and testes
Radioactive iodine
Iodine 131 is short lived and dangerous for a matter of weeks and will
collect in the thyroid. Thyroid uses 3-4 molecules of iodine to make
thyroid hormone when people are deficient in iodine the body draws
it in
Strontium 90 is dangerous for hundreds of years and will collect in
the bones causing leukemia.
Cesium 137 is also dangerous for about the same period of time and
will accumulate in the muscle tissue.
Iodine
Iodine is the most obvious and important
element in protecting against radiation
damages. Radioactive iodine will plunge in
to any and all iodine receptor cites that
have no iodine in them due to iodine
deficiencies.
This is a serious problem because over 90
percent of people in North America are
iodine deficient.
This leaves them incredibly vulnerable to
radioactive iodine, which is one of the
principle forms of radiation given off in
nuclear accidents and from nuclear
weapons.
How is Radiation Measured?
In the United States, radiation absorbed dose (rad), dose equivalent
(rem), and exposure (R) (roentgen)
The International System of Units (SI) for radiation measurement is now the official system
of measurement and uses the "gray" (Gy) and "sievert" (Sv) for absorbed dose and
equivalent dose respectively. Conversions are as follows:
1 Gy = 100 rad
1 mGy = 100 mrad
1 Sv = 100 rem
1 mSv = 100 mrem
In the United States, the amount of radioactivity present is the number of curies (Ci) present.
The more curies present, the greater amount of radioactivity and emitted radiation.
The SI system uses the unit of becquerel (Bq) as its unit of radioactivity. One curie is 37
billion Bq. Since the Bq represents such a small amount, one is likely to see a prefix
noting a large multiplier used with the Bq as follows:
37 GBq = 37 billion Bq = 1 curie
1 MBq = 1 million Bq = ~ 27 microcuries
1 GBq = 1 billion Bq = ~ 27 millicuries
1TBq = 1 trillion Bq = ~ 27 curies
In France, in mid-April 2012 cautioned pregnant and breastfeeding
women and children in Europe are to avoid eating certain foods due to
the spread of radiation from Fukushima, including milk and creamy
cheese, and spinach and other broad leaf vegetables,
due to the potential health risks associated with ingesting radioactive
particles that may accumulate in these foods.
the risks related to prolonged contamination among vulnerable groups
of the population can no longer be considered “negligible” and it is
now necessary to avoid “risky behavior.”
the West Coast of the U.S. is being subjected to
eight to 10 times higher levels of radiation than
Europe from the nuclear meltdown in Japan.
TOKYO, Japan — Vladimir Babenko is deputy director of the Belrad
Institute of Radiation Safety in the former Soviet republic of Belarus.
During a press conference in Tokyo he urged Japan to lower food
radiation limits to “realistic” levels.
Babenko “cannot understand the thresholds designated by the Japanese
government for food and beverage products, saying they are much
higher than Belarusian standards.”
He noted that the allowable limit of 200 becquerels per kilogram of
cesium in Japan drinking water is 20 times as high as the maximum
allowable level in Belarus.
The government insists that its radiation limits ensure that the
program will pose no health risks to surrounding residents..
Previously, Japanese regulations required nuclear waste with 100 or
more bq/kg of Cesium to be monitored and disposed of in specialized
containers
The new government limit for material headed for landfills is 8000
bq/kg, 80 times the pre-Fukushima limit
Before Fukushima:
100 Bq/kg of cesium is nuclear waste
After: 100 Bq/kg of cesium is safe to eat

Nutrients to the Rescue
Spirulina and chlorella have been used
heavily by the Russians after the Chernobyl
nuclear plant disaster.
Spirulina and chlorella content and because it
is like refined rocket fuel for the cells
providing them with a broad range of
concentrated nutrients.
Spirulina contains about 70% protein, the
vitamins E, C (beta carotene) and B
complex, a number of minerals, phycocyanin
and chlorophyll.
Chlorella is a single-celled, water-grown algae
that contains more chlorophyll per gram than
any other plant. It is extremely rich in vitamins,
minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids and
many other nutrients
Miso is effective for detoxifying
your body of radiation.
During World War II, two
hospitals that were located side by
side were hit with atomic
radiation, in one hospital people
consumed Miso and all of them
survived while many people in the
other hospital that did not take
miso died.
Miso is rich in vitamin B therefore
it is suitable for vegetarians who
are in shortage of vitamin B. For
best results do not cook miso.”
Whole Grains, Sea weed, Wheat Grass
Consuming more whole grains has a multitude of benefits. Their high fiber content binds with
toxins and lessens intestinal transit time.
vitamin B6 content nourishes the thymus gland and their vitamin E content helps the body to
better utilize oxygen.
buckwheat is high in rutin and helps to protect against radiation and stimulates new bone marrow
production.
seaweed helps to prevent the reabsorbing of radioactive strontium 90.
Following the bombing of Nagasaki, a group of surviving macrobiotic doctors and their
patients avoided radiation sickness by eating brown rice, miso and seaweed. They also did not
get leukemia.
Seaweeds also help to break down fatty deposits.
wheatgrass grass strengthen cells, transport oxygen, help to detoxify the blood and liver as well
as help to neutralize polluting elements and stimulate RNA production.
Detoxing Supplements and compounds

Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)
The oral administration of sodium bicarbonate diminishes
the
severity of the changes produced by uranium in the kidneys.
The kidneys are usually the first organs to show chemical
damage upon uranium exposure
the United States Army recommends the use of bicarbonate
to protect the kidneys from radiation damage

Nuclear Radiation Radiation-induced skinreactions Uranium Uranium oxide = inhaled it sticks to the lining of the lungs, it is taken up by cells of the immune systems and gets into lymph glands, bone, brain, hormone producing glands, ovaries and testes Radioactive iodine Iodine 131 is short lived and dangerous for a matter of weeks and will collect in the thyroid. Thyroid uses 3-4 molecules of iodine to make thyroid hormone when people are deficient in iodine the body draws it in Strontium 90 is dangerous for hundreds of years and will collect in the bones causing leukemia. Cesium 137 is also dangerous for about the same period of time and will accumulate in the muscle tissue.

Iodine Iodine is themost obvious and important element in protecting against radiation damages. Radioactive iodine will plunge in to any and all iodine receptor cites that have no iodine in them due to iodine deficiencies. This is a serious problem because over 90 percent of people in North America are iodine deficient. This leaves them incredibly vulnerable to radioactive iodine, which is one of the principle forms of radiation given off in nuclear accidents and from nuclear weapons.

How is RadiationMeasured? In the United States, radiation absorbed dose (rad), dose equivalent (rem), and exposure (R) (roentgen) The International System of Units (SI) for radiation measurement is now the official system of measurement and uses the "gray" (Gy) and "sievert" (Sv) for absorbed dose and equivalent dose respectively. Conversions are as follows: 1 Gy = 100 rad 1 mGy = 100 mrad 1 Sv = 100 rem 1 mSv = 100 mrem In the United States, the amount of radioactivity present is the number of curies (Ci) present. The more curies present, the greater amount of radioactivity and emitted radiation. The SI system uses the unit of becquerel (Bq) as its unit of radioactivity. One curie is 37 billion Bq. Since the Bq represents such a small amount, one is likely to see a prefix noting a large multiplier used with the Bq as follows: 37 GBq = 37 billion Bq = 1 curie 1 MBq = 1 million Bq = ~ 27 microcuries 1 GBq = 1 billion Bq = ~ 27 millicuries 1TBq = 1 trillion Bq = ~ 27 curies

In France, inmid-April 2012 cautioned pregnant and breastfeeding women and children in Europe are to avoid eating certain foods due to the spread of radiation from Fukushima, including milk and creamy cheese, and spinach and other broad leaf vegetables, due to the potential health risks associated with ingesting radioactive particles that may accumulate in these foods. the risks related to prolonged contamination among vulnerable groups of the population can no longer be considered “negligible” and it is now necessary to avoid “risky behavior.” the West Coast of the U.S. is being subjected to eight to 10 times higher levels of radiation than Europe from the nuclear meltdown in Japan.

TOKYO, Japan —Vladimir Babenko is deputy director of the Belrad Institute of Radiation Safety in the former Soviet republic of Belarus. During a press conference in Tokyo he urged Japan to lower food radiation limits to “realistic” levels. Babenko “cannot understand the thresholds designated by the Japanese government for food and beverage products, saying they are much higher than Belarusian standards.” He noted that the allowable limit of 200 becquerels per kilogram of cesium in Japan drinking water is 20 times as high as the maximum allowable level in Belarus.

The government insiststhat its radiation limits ensure that the program will pose no health risks to surrounding residents.. Previously, Japanese regulations required nuclear waste with 100 or more bq/kg of Cesium to be monitored and disposed of in specialized containers The new government limit for material headed for landfills is 8000 bq/kg, 80 times the pre-Fukushima limit Before Fukushima: 100 Bq/kg of cesium is nuclear waste After: 100 Bq/kg of cesium is safe to eat

Tsutomu Yamaguchi, theonly person officially recognized as a survivor of both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings at the end of World War II, has died at age 93. Yamaguchi was in Hiroshima on a business trip for his shipbuilding company on Aug. 6, 1945, when a U.S. B-29 dropped an atomic bomb on the city. He suffered serious burns to his upper body and spent the night in the city. He then returned to his hometown of Nagasaki, about 300 kilometers (190 miles) to the southwest, which suffered a second U.S. atomic bomb attack three days later

taking iodine toprevent thyroid gland. taking in too much iodine can leave toxin to your body. potassium iodide or iodine Effective in preventing thyroid cancer. Iodine-131 radiation (gamma and beta) to protect from radiation exposure only drug to produce only a temporary situation. Potassium iodide or iodine is able to eat before entering risk areas. 1-12 hours before the effects of the drug risk of allergic reaction of potassium iodide or iodine, such as suggesting that if so many did not participate in many areas at risk of radial diffusion of radioactive substances is not recommended for you. Due to possible side effects of this drug. The pregnant woman should eat only one volume size 130 mg tablets once. foods to be richest in potassium iodine 1. Kelp (high) 2. Low-Fat Yogurt 3. Raw Cow's Milk 4. Egg, whole, boiled 5. Strawberries 6. Mozzarella Cheese The Kelp has the highest amount of iodine with Mozzarella Cheese coming in last... but still containing a valuable amount.

Intravenous Cocktails In casesof serious exposure, IV cocktails with high dosages of vitamin C, magnesium chloride or sulfate, sodium bicarbonate and very pure seawater full of all the minerals necessary for life would be ideal. Nutrients to the Rescue Spirulina and chlorella have been used heavily by the Russians after the Chernobyl nuclear plant disaster. Spirulina and chlorella content and because it is like refined rocket fuel for the cells providing them with a broad range of concentrated nutrients. Spirulina contains about 70% protein, the vitamins E, C (beta carotene) and B complex, a number of minerals, phycocyanin and chlorophyll. Chlorella is a single-celled, water-grown algae that contains more chlorophyll per gram than any other plant. It is extremely rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids and many other nutrients

Miso is effectivefor detoxifying your body of radiation. During World War II, two hospitals that were located side by side were hit with atomic radiation, in one hospital people consumed Miso and all of them survived while many people in the other hospital that did not take miso died. Miso is rich in vitamin B therefore it is suitable for vegetarians who are in shortage of vitamin B. For best results do not cook miso.”

Whole Grains, Seaweed, Wheat Grass Consuming more whole grains has a multitude of benefits. Their high fiber content binds with toxins and lessens intestinal transit time. vitamin B6 content nourishes the thymus gland and their vitamin E content helps the body to better utilize oxygen. buckwheat is high in rutin and helps to protect against radiation and stimulates new bone marrow production. seaweed helps to prevent the reabsorbing of radioactive strontium 90. Following the bombing of Nagasaki, a group of surviving macrobiotic doctors and their patients avoided radiation sickness by eating brown rice, miso and seaweed. They also did not get leukemia. Seaweeds also help to break down fatty deposits. wheatgrass grass strengthen cells, transport oxygen, help to detoxify the blood and liver as well as help to neutralize polluting elements and stimulate RNA production.

Sodium Bicarbonate (BakingSoda) The oral administration of sodium bicarbonate diminishes the severity of the changes produced by uranium in the kidneys. The kidneys are usually the first organs to show chemical damage upon uranium exposure the United States Army recommends the use of bicarbonate to protect the kidneys from radiation damage *used by oncology centers to control chemo agent spills and it’s actually used intravenously to protect patients from the hazardous toxicity of chemotherapy. Uranium is one of the only metals that get significant bonding from carbonate. Just flushing a lot of bicarbonate through the system
