INTERACTIVE LEARNING BETTER PREPARES YOUR CHILD.pptxUcmas Canada
Interactive and traditional learning are two educational approaches that have been around for centuries, but in recent years they have become increasingly popular. Both approaches can be used to teach students and help them to develop their knowledge, however they differ in the methods used.
Traditional learning is a more structured approach that relies on lectures or textbooks as the main source of information. On the other hand, interactive learning encourages students to actively participate in their studies by providing them with online tools and activities. This type of learning allows students to gain a deeper understanding of topics as they explore different aspects and extend their knowledge beyond what is taught in traditional classrooms.
To understand the overall scenario of the education system we
mapped out entities and activities involved in a whole system for this
we met few subject matter experts. who gave us and idea and
details about exact working of the system.
Then we have included systemic representations of the system which
specifically deals with
- Information flow
- Money flow
- Rural education system
Now in the context of design education, this may be a good reference work done few years back.I hope this is a useful self-learning content for you all.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

1. Storyboard helps in learning:
A storyboard is a plan for teaching and learning activities. It can be a
combination of outlines and visual sketches that map out the contents or
sequence of ideas.
I think Storyboard is a tool to facilitate the creative-thinking process and
can be likened to taking your thoughts and the thoughts of others and
spreading them.
You can think of a storyboard as a visual outline of your instruction. A
storyboard helps a teacher to plan for instruction because teacher or a
learner draws out in detail all the elements. It also helps all of us to
communicate with others about our ideas.
Importance of a storyboard:
Visual mapping of our concept gets students attention and interest thus,
making our teaching effective.
Also pupil’s takes interest in making images and related to their activities.
I took two themes one was multiple intelligence and entrepreneurship in
school.
These things students had done previously but I ask them that can you
draw all activities which we done earlier? “They excitedly said yes of
course.”
So after a short briefing with them I told them how they could draw
pictures, which they have in their minds. They also discussed things with
each other.
They make pictures and describe one by one. They also paint them.
They also share their experiences with each other through out when I
started teaching to them in different ways.
Here are some digital pictures of that activity. Also storyboard attached
in another file.
2. "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I
understand."
When the students sit in-group and did group work
How storyboard is effective:
• Storyboard is very effective in learning process because students
enjoys it a lot.
• When they make pictures and paint them they communicate with
one another and also with teacher.
3. • It helps them to develop there communication skills and art skills.
• And also enhances there memory.
Below these are two very intelligent and active students in my class they
both were very excited in the whole course. They were very curious to
learn different things or study in new and interesting way.

4. Own learning from the unit (social, personal and
professional)
I learned a lot from this course socially, personally and professionally.
By profession I learned how to teach effectively and interestingly to
the young ones.
Personally I am feeling great because I also learned new things new
techniques to teach in a different and exciting ways. I also learn that
how ICT is important in learning and how to use ICT in learning
process.
Professionally this whole teacher training course draws impact on me
as well as my colleague teachers. It really changed our mindsets and
bring ideas and how can we help each other in teaching.
Socially it impacts a lot because I introduced the new ways of
learning the students are very happy that we learn through games and
do different with formal studying. The parents of student really
appreciating me happy to my teaching. These all things tells me that
this unit helped me a lot.
