3. These are the
ages of the
people who took
the survey, they
are all within the
age range I am
targeting.
4. My film genre
would target
mostly girls
so fortunately
more girls
took the
survey than
boys.
5. Perks of being a Wallflower, Fight
club and the Note Book are al films
that my target audience like.
6. Why they like these films, helps
me create my films so that they
will like it too.
7. Very all
rounded
people.
They have a
lot of interests
and are very
creative, like
my target
audience. This
helps me
target my
audience by
as I can make
characters
have similar
interests so
that the
audience can
relate to them.
8. This helped me shape my main character by
finding out what other people would want
him to be like.
9. A lot of variety
with music
taste,
I know that my
target
audience likes
lots of different
genres of
music
but indie and
rock are the
main genres
that listen to.
This helps me
know what
kind of music
to add in to my
opening
sequence.
10. The majority of people said they would rather go out with friends, which is
very similar to my target audience. This helps shape my characters so
that they are similar to my audience so that the film attracts my target
audience even more.
11. This helps me plan the plot of the film as I want it to go against many
expectations as I want it to be unique. It also helps me know what to
include in my film too, such as ‘nothing cliché’.
13. This helps me know what to focus on the most in my opening sequence.
14. I think ‘Just another
shot’ should be rated a
15 as some scenes
might be inappropriate
for under 15’s and the
films target audience
is 15+.

18. This is Marla Clarke. She is 17 years old and is studying
photography, English literature, psychology and art for A-
Level. She lives in Highgate in North London. She is
predicted high grades in A-Level, especially in photography
and art as she is very artistic and creative. On the weekends
she goes to parties, gigs and clubs with her friends. She is
well balanced between her social life, her school work and
her family. She is very fashionable, some people would label
for style ‘hipster’. She is into bands such as Arctic Monkeys,
Warpaint, James Blake, The Libertines, Swim Deep, Alt-J
and David Bowie. She volunteers at Oxfam every saturday
and really enjoys it. She is hoping she can help out at
Glastonbury with oxfam this year. She likes all kinds of films,
she watched dramas (such as The Help), Thrillers (Fight
Club), romance (500 days of summer) independent films
(Blue is the warmest colour) and French films (Amelie). She
has a big collection of films at home, she never illegally
downloads films and tries to find time to see them at the
cinema. She watches channel 4 and E4 mostly. She
watched TV shows like The Big Bang Theory, Friends, Skins,
Misfits and Black Mirror.
I think ‘Just Another Shot’ would attract her as it includes a
lot of her interests such as photography and music. It is a
romance that is not cheesy and cliché, which she prefers to
the average romance. The main character is her ‘type’ of
guy, the POV technique interests her as she likes something
different and the story line attracts her as she can relate to it.
