qualitative data.
I constructed a music magazine questionnaire intended for my target audience, in
order to aid me to make the best possible magazine I can. I asked a series of closed
and opened style questions with regards to my hip hop genre, in order to help gain
quantitative and qualitative data, but also a few personal questions to form a
understanding of my target audience.

In conclusion what I found out about my questionnaire is that the Hip Hop genre is
correspondent with the 16-24 old demographic. I have discovered that the most
important part on a music magazine is the focal image therefore I have to capture a good
shot for my front cover as its vital to get my audiences attention to. Also as my target
audience are young adults they are price sensitive as they may not hold an income due to
them still being in college or university as a result of this I gathered an understanding of
how much they spend on a magazine and it was between the area of £0-£3.99.
I have also understood that the main concept of my magazine should be based upon
current artists rather than pervious or any future artists.
