I conducted a questionnaire to determine the target audience and content for a pop music magazine. Most respondents were female and between 15-18 years old, so the magazine will primarily target teenage girls. Over half of respondents said they would pay between £4-6 for the magazine and preferred a monthly publication with content including song reviews and artist profiles. The most popular layout and color scheme involved decorative typography, pink and blue colors. These results will inform the design and content of the new magazine.

Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.

A tale about our culture around the use of fertilizers and pesticides visiting small farms around Ahmedabad in Matar and Shilaj.
Hello everyone! I am thrilled to present my latest portfolio on LinkedIn, marking the culmination of my architectural journey thus far. Over the span of five years, I've been fortunate to acquire a wealth of knowledge under the guidance of esteemed professors and industry mentors. From rigorous academic pursuits to practical engagements, each experience has contributed to my growth and refinement as an architecture student. This portfolio not only showcases my projects but also underscores my attention to detail and to innovative architecture as a profession.
1. QUESTIONNAIRE
ANALYSIS
I conducted a questionnaire to find out what people wanted on and in a pop magazine, I
didn't target the questions at a pacific audience so I could get a range of responses from
different people, therefore I sent the link to a range of different people. I will now analyse
the responses I received, these responses will help me design my music magazine for the
appropriate target audience.
2. More females answered my questionnaire, this will effect the results I will get from my other
questions as there will be a more female gendered biased throughout the Questionnaire. As I may
have sent the questionnaire to more females then males this response was expected, therefore as
the other questions will be female gendered biased I will be targeting my magazine at a female
audience.
3. The answers to this question are inconclusive as not everyone understood the different classes. I
know this as I didn't ask anyone who was above working class. As the majority that answered my
questionnaire were unemployed this will mean I cant charge an excess amount for my magazine,
thus it will effect the content I will put in my magazine.
4. As half (50%) of the people that answered my questionnaire where aged 15-18 years, my primary
target audience will be teenagers. I anticipated this result as the majority of the people I asked
where aged 15-18 years old. This age will determined the content that I put in my magazine,
whether it been age appropriate or suitable for their interest.
5. The result of this question doesn’t effect the production of my magazine as any ethnicity can be interested in
pop music and purchase my magazine. This response was expected as most of the people that I gave my
questionnaire to fill out were white, however the other people I asked were all from different cultures therefore
the range of responses was expected. Having a range of different ethnicity's answer my questionnaire means
that can make my magazine appeal to all ethnicity's.
6. I asked this question so I could find out weather the subject answering my questionnaire was
familiar with magazines. If they weren't familiar with my magazine they may just answer randomly
giving me inconclusive results. Over half of the responses I got where of people who buy magazines
therefore their answers would be genuine and from this I will get conclusive results which will allow
me to design my magazine effectively and be appropriate for my target audience.
7. The response to this question gives me an idea of how much money I can sell my magazine for, most
people said that they would spend from £4-6.This response surprised me as I predicted that more
people would have picked the cheaper price as given the opportunity. The average price for a pop
music magazine on the market is around £2-4,this is close to the price most people picked, therefore
I will aim to charge around this price. This is an appropriate price for my target audience as they are
unemployed-receiving no income, however may get pocket money which they can use to buy the
magazine as a affordable price.
8. The preferred typography was decorative,This is a pleasant result as this typography fits in with the
genre of pop as it is fun. Having decorative as the preferred typography allows me to be creative and
go wild with the typography again fitting in with the music genre of my choice. Finally it will imply
that my magazine is aimed at a younger audience as it wont be neat and organised but like
stereotypical teenagers wild and out going.
9. The most popular colour scheme was pink and blue, this means that I can aim my magazine at all
genders as stereotypically pink is a girl colour and blue is a boy colour. The colour pink could portray
that my magazine contains love and feminine content. Additionally the colour blue could portray
that the magazine accommodates ‘cool’ topics. For the colour scheme I will use primary colours as
my magazine is aimed at a youthful audience and using primary colours shows this.
10. The response to this question will determined weather my magazine will be a weekly, monthly or
yearly edition. As nearly half said that they bought a magazine monthly, I will look at releasing a
monthly edition of my magazine. On the other hand by doing this it will effect the content of my
magazine as I wont be able to put the events/topics in my magazine as they happen, but the most
recent and the best topics of the months.
11. This is one of the most important questions as the content of the magazine is what keeps the target
audience interested. The most preferred content was song reviews, with artist profiles as a close
second. As my magazine needs to contain multiple topics/events, I will pick the top 3 most popular
content topics (artist profiles, song reviews and other) and included them in my magazine. The
artists profile will be straight forward and wont need to hold the latest information, the artist
profiles can contain basic information about the artists, their most successful songs and how they
started their music career. The song reviews will also be straight forward as a new song is released
monthly which can be reviewed. Lastly the option’ other’ was one of the most popular, therefore I
can chose a topic that I think will be fitting for the magazine.
12. This question informs me on what magazine layout most attracts my target audience. I will use
layout 1 as it was the most popular, I will design the cover of my magazine around this layout,
keeping it as similar as possible as its what people want. However all the layouts where close to been
most popular therefore I could chose the layout that I feel would be most appropriate for my music
magazine.
