The age of this character is early 20’s
opposing the fact that the majority of
leading male characters are in their mature
years.
The ethnicity of this character is
Black/African. This subverts the idea of
the leading character being a white male
however, this also encourages the
stereotype of Black/African characters
being into crime.
The class of the victim is seen as
working class/student. She is dressed
casually without showing any signs of
wealth like the protagonist.
The age of the character is 18-20. She is
portrayed as vulnerable teenager as she is
sitting in a isolated park unaware of the
situations soon to take place. She is on
her phone which is a code and
convention of teenagers always being on
their phones.
The gender of the character is female.
This reinforces the conventions of the
victim being a female and of the
‘inferior’ and more vulnerable gender.
