In our preliminary task, we learned about important cinematography techniques like the 180-degree line and how to avoid crossing it. We also practiced shot/reverse shot to see conversations from both sides and match on action to smoothly transition between shots without jumps in time. Working on the full film helped improve our skills with the camera, editing software, and using different shots to tell a story and engage the audience.

2. 180 DEGREE LINE
 In our preliminary task we learnt about the 180 degree line and why not
to break it. If the 180 degree is crossed it will look as if the characters
had swapped places even though they are stood in the same place.

3. SHOT/REVERSE SHOT
 Shot/reverse shot is used when 2 characters are in conversation. It is
used to get the POV from both of the characters and what they are
seeing during there speech.

4. MATCH ON ACTION
 Match on action is where your character is doing an action in our case
opening a door and then is cut to the other side of the door when they
are entering but the door is in the same place.This creates a fluent
movement and shows you haven't skipped forward in time.

5. IMPROVEMENTS
 I think overall I have got better at using the camera for different shots
as a whole. Using the camera I have learned different shots to use and
how they affect the audience.We also got better a using the software to
edit shots together.
