This document discusses how different shots and elements of a film production would appeal to both the intended primary audience and a secondary audience. It suggests that stereotypical representations of interrogations and violence would please the secondary audience but help shift their views over time. Emotional shots showing the suffering of the Muslim main character could generate sympathy from the primary audience but not the secondary audience due to stereotypes. The film aims to ultimately change the dominant reading of both audiences by the end. Soundtrack choices also risk appealing more to stereotypes of the secondary audience. Production decisions were based on earlier audience research.
