- 1. Question 5: How did you attract/address yo BY MARWA AWADH
- 2. Features: FONT: I used Gills and sans Bold/italic consistently throughout my magazine pages this font stood out enough to catch the readers eyes but also fit in with the images I had taken. This particular font also makes my magazine look exciting but simple. COLOURS: My main colours in which I have used consistently throughout my magazine are Red, White and Black these colours are strong consistent and stand out next to my images. Similarly, attracting the audiences attention with the persistent colours. IMAGES: The photographs in which I have taken for my music magazine link to my genre of Hip Hop and R&B my artists contain the aggressive, superior and fierce like look. This draws the audience in but also gives the audience an idea of what will be in the magazine so they know what and whom they are reading about.
- 3. MORE FEATURES: MASTHEAD: The masthead I used for my magazine is "Down town". The big "D" is for down town and the "X" is an extra silent letter for the name it is in red to grab the readers attention and it also looks very effective standing out on the front cover. LAYOUT: My layout stands out yet does not overlap the “main” image of my artists on the front cover. The layout is consistent and lines up all the headlines and makes them catch the readers eyes straight away. On my contents page just like the front cover the layout goes down in rows with the picture on the right not overlapping with the words, making the magazine look professional. On my double page spread as there is more space for writing the layout goes in rows on both sides. CONTENT: Throughout my magazine and contents page I added artists and exclusive stories and interviews attracting the readers attention and moreover making my magazine entertaining and interesting for the audience.
