2. PHOTOSHOP
• PHOTOSHOP CS6 IS A POWERFUL PHOTO
EDITING TOOL THAT I HAVE USED FOR MY
COVER IMAGE AND CONSTRUCTING
BOTH MY FILM POSTERS. BY USING LAYERS
CORRECTLY I AM ABLE TO PLACE EACH
MODEL IN THE CORRECT PLACE ABOVE A
DIFFERENT MODEL. THIS WAS ALSO VERY
USEFUL SO I COULD GROUP TOGETHER
TEXT TEXT FOR MY CREDIT BLOCK ON MY
MAIN FILM POSTER.

3. INDESIGN
I have used Adobe InDesign to
create my film magazine, it is
a very useful tool to use
especially with layout, I was
able to easily import my
photos from Photoshop and
then organise text and
graphics around it. Again using
the layer tool I was effectively
able to place the masthead
behind the cover image, this
allows the reader to see the
name of the magazine but
without covering up the cover
image which grabs the
readers attention.
I was also able to
add graphics into
my magazine cover
imported from
Photoshop to give it
a movie magazine
feel. By adding
graphics like a
barcode and red
background on the
text it make the
magazine look more
realistic.

4. PREMIER PRO
Premier Pro was the main
bit of software I used when
constructing my trailer, by
using layers and sound
mixing I was able to add
voiceovers and import clips
from after effects. I mainly
used the sound mixing
during my ‘OMG its Miley’
clip nearing the end of the
trailer as the background
noise was too loud, I have
also used a fair amount of
fades in my trailer as it
works well for text.

5. AFTER EFFECTS
I used after effects for the
outro of my video, when the
logo comes in from the
camera, it gave a
professional ending to the
video similar to the ‘Heroes
of Cosplay’ TV show I looked
at. I first found After Effects
very difficult to use but after
following YouTube tutorials
and having help from a
couple of people in class I
was able to use it alright.
