The 18-age rating released 49 films with the second lowest box office gross of £73.6 million.
Thrillers do vary a lot when looking at their BBFC classification, from classic thrillers such as Psycho – rated 15, Rear Window – rated PG, The Godfather –rated 15, to modern thrillers such as Inception – 12A, or The Departed – 18So when we decided on our age rating the most important thing was choosing a suitable rating for our content whilst enabling the majority of people of all ages to be able to view our film for more popularity.
From the research of the UK Film Council in 2009 the 15-24 age group gained the highest percentage of the cinema audience, with 7-14 year olds only making 18% of the audience, because of these reasons and the content of our film we decided to choose the 15 age rating.
