1. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have
learnt in the progression from it to the final product?
My preliminary task was very unprofessional basic, I didn’t have a good grasp of Photoshop
you can clearly see the poor usage of crop and lasso tools. The quality of the photo and
overall structuring of the preliminary task is very amateurish compared to my actual
magazine. I didn’t grasp the full aspects of the magazine and the content that was needed to
make it look more polished and professional. I dedicate enough time into making the
magazine more realistic as well.
However, I feel my preliminary task was a stepping stone to my actual music magazine
looking much more polished and professional. Everything was in place to make my actual
magazine better than the preliminary task, the drastic improvement in the quality of photo
and the professionalismof the entire magazine raises the standards of which the magazine
as a whole. I clearly learnt from my previous mistakes and most importantly I got more
comfortable with Photoshop as whole which made an overall improvement to the
magazine.
Summary
I’ve learnt how to use the technology to better which as a result has made me a better
magazine then my preliminary task, the final product is much more thought through
magazine and has all the aspects that real has unlike the very amateurish preliminary task.
