During this PowerPoint I will be going through theses
questions:
1)What is audience feedback?
2)Why is audience feedback important in the media?
3)What types of feedback are possible?
4)How did I do to get feedback?

6)How useful the feedback was to me?
7)How could this feedback help me in a real media
context?
What is audience feedback?
Audience feedback is information provided by an
audience about whether they are satisfied or
dissatisfied with a product or service (In this context
a short film) and about general experience. Their
opinion is a resource for improving and adjusting
your product based on there responses. This
information can be collected with different
methods such as survey and questionnaires. All
sources are important to get a full picture of how
your clients perceive your product.
Why is audience feedback important in
the media?
Audience feedback is one of the most important
factors of audience feedback because the
audience are the people your trying to sell the
short film too. If people don’t enjoy the product
then they wont buy it and without purchases it
wont be success. So getting audience feedback
is essential to success.
What types of feedback are possible?
• Survey / questionnaire websites (Survey
Monkey)
• Use online polls (Straw Poll)
• Written feedback from an audience (Paper
based)
• Create an online community (Social media)
• Personal Interviews or vox pops (Video)
How did I do to get feedback?
The feedback methods I choose to get feedback
with are:
• Survey Monkey
• Paper based review
• Personal Interviews
I choose these methods because I personally
believe these are the most effective means to
receive productive feedback.

Why Surveys are useful
Surveys are have almost no expense. Online surveys and
mobile surveys have a very small cost and have the ability
to reach a large audience of people. Surveys can also be
administered in many modes, including: online surveys,
email surveys and social media surveys. The anonymity of
surveys allows respondents to answer with more candid
and valid answers. To get the most accurate data, you
need respondents to be as open and honest as possible
with their answers. Surveys conducted anonymously
provide an avenue for more honest and unambiguous
responses than other types of research methods.
Paper based results
Why Paper based results are useful
A paper survey has, and always will have, a place
in survey research, as a hard copy has the
advantage of serving as a document if that is
what is needed. There are still some non-tech
savvy people that would prefer you to send
them paper surveys.

Why Personal video Interviews are
useful
Video interviews consist of a series of pre-
determined questions that all interviewees
answer in the same order. Data analysis usually
tends to be more straightforward because
researcher can compare and contrast different
answers given to the same questions. This is
useful because it gives a broader view of what
people think about your film.
How useful the feedback was to me?
Overall the feedback during all stages (Film and
poster) seemed to be useful in some way. For
instance poster feedback gave me an idea of
what people think my poster is portraying and
what film its representing. This was useful to
narrow down an audience that would be
interested in watching my film. This feedback
was also anonymous so people could give there
actual views without offending me.
How could this feedback help me in a
real media context?
I'm sure all the methods talked about above are
already used in a real media context. But if I was
in a real media context I believe the most useful
methods would be online survey and video
interviews because they cover a wide range of
views and don’t cost much to produce.
