Hearst Magazines, Condé Nast, and Accent Magazines are all experienced publishers with a history of publishing fashion magazines. While all would suit publishing a new fashion magazine, each has different strengths. Hearst Magazines publishes magazines with a similar target audience and demographic, helping ensure success, and is best able to support a new magazine launch. Condé Nast has an excellent reputation but targets an older audience. Accent Magazines understands the regional audience but also targets older demographics. Overall, Hearst Magazines is concluded to be the best publisher partner.

5. All of the publishers mentioned have experience publishing fashion magazines which means
that they all suit me, however there are different elements that would make each publisher
best suit me. In regards to Hearts Magazines, they currently publish two of my biggest
competitors with very similar target audience of young females (cosmopolitan and company),
however this could work to my advantage because I know that they have reach and success
within this area which would help my magazine excel. It would also remove the risk of heavy
competition from my competitors. They are also a UK based and bread company meaning
they will understand my links to the region. Conde Nast UK publishes some of the most highly
credited and best selling magazines within the fashion genre meaning they are highly
experience and skilled in the area. However they appeal to a older, higher social class
audience that are more mature and serious meaning they would not be the best pick for the
East Coast brand which has stronger connotations of fun. Accent Magazines is a publisher
from the north east meaning they would be perfect to help me reach my northern audience,
they also have experience with fashion brands as they publish their own accent magazine
which is my biggest competitor in the north east. However similar to Conde, they have an
older demographic of audience which means they may not be best for me.
In conclusion, I feel that Hearst Magazines has the most to offer me because they would
remove the risk of competitors, they are already very successful in the fashion genre, they
have more money to launch the brand and they share a similar target audience. All together
they would give me the best step into the magazine industry.
