Group members presented a video on social psychology perspectives. The video included scenes depicting social learning theory, false consensus bias, self-serving bias, upward counterfactual thinking, and persuasion. Each scene showed an example of how Gabriel's behaviors and thoughts were influenced by these perspectives.
Interpersonal Transformation (Part II): Attachment vs. RelatednessJames Tobin, Ph.D.
My perspective on interpersonal transformation involves the capacity to recognize how we are coercing our romantic partner, or being coerced by our partner, to perpetuate an unresolved early developmental trauma in our adult life. It is not uncommon for these coercive patterns to play out not only in romantic relationships, but also in our work lives, family lives, even with friends. The main idea I have been discussing in recent group sessions is our need to quickly recognize when we are being drawn into these insidious psychological and emotional provocations so that we can avoid them or act to change them. However, a major concept I have not yet described is the utility of identifying and understanding how our own unique attachment patterns increase our tendency to get drawn into negative relationship dynamics. By the term “attachment” I am referring to innate, unconscious, and highly rigid feelings, emotions, and assumptions about bonding with another that we inherited from childhood. What is problematic is that many people never make a highly significant psychological transition in their adult lives: abandoning these old attachment tendencies for a more mature, healthy, and well-boundaried style of adult relatedness. In this presentation, I describe how relatedness is achieved, what it consists of, and how it can prompt and maintain successful romantic relationships as well as a deeply sensual and erotic connection with our partner.
The Dynamics of Unconscious Communication: Projection, Projective Identificat...James Tobin, Ph.D.
According to Dr. Tobin, communication occurs at an unconscious level and is organized largely around psychological processes that re-create historical events. This talk seeks to clarify how projection and projective identification are relevant in all romantic relationship and engineer patterns of relatedness oriented toward re-traumatization.
In this presentation, Dr. Tobin argues that inauthenticity in relationships may be characterized by dynamics in which two people relate to each other defensively and with an unconscious wish to recapitulate historical relational trauma.

thGAP - BAbyss in Moderno!! Transgenic Human Germline Alternatives ProjectMarc Dusseiller Dusjagr
thGAP - Transgenic Human Germline Alternatives Project, presents an evening of input lectures, discussions and a performative workshop on artistic interventions for future scenarios of human genetic and inheritable modifications.
To begin our lecturers, Marc Dusseiller aka "dusjagr" and Rodrigo Martin Iglesias, will give an overview of their transdisciplinary practices, including the history of hackteria, a global network for sharing knowledge to involve artists in hands-on and Do-It-With-Others (DIWO) working with the lifesciences, and reflections on future scenarios from the 8-bit computer games of the 80ies to current real-world endeavous of genetically modifiying the human species.
We will then follow up with discussions and hands-on experiments on working with embryos, ovums, gametes, genetic materials from code to slime, in a creative and playful workshop setup, where all paticipant can collaborate on artistic interventions into the germline of a post-human future.

Turn Over a New Leaf
4. SOCIAL LEARNING PERSPECTIVE
Definition: This perspective argues that
individuals learn from observing the behaviors
of others. Individuals observe modeled
behaviors and in turn behave in a similar
manner.
Example: Gabriel’s friends want to chill and stop
study for tomorrow’s exam. Gabriel learns and
follows by observing the behaviors of his friends.
7. FALSE CONSENSUS
Definition: Tendency to overestimate the number
of people who act or think as we do. May serve a
self-protective function.
Example: Gabriel thought that his friends never
study for the next day’s exam, so he refuses to
study too.
10. SELF-SERVING BIAS
Definition: The tendency to attribute positive
effects or successful behaviors to dispositional
factors. While attributing negative effects or
unsuccessful behaviors to situational factors.
Example: He failed his exam. He blamed on his
lecturer said that his lecturer did not teach well
and cause him getting a bad result.
13. Upward Counterfactuals Thinking
Definition: A concept in psychology that involves the
human tendency to create possible alternatives to
life events that have already occurred. Something
that is contrary to what actually happened.
Example: His mother scolded him and controlled his
lifestyle and this made him feel regret on what he
did.
16. PERSUASION
Definition: attempts to influence others’ attitudes
or behaviors. The action or fact of persuading
someone or of being persuaded to do or believe
something.
