Protein synthesis involves DNA being transcribed into mRNA which passes through the nuclear membrane. The mRNA attaches to ribosomes at the start codon initiating translation where tRNA brings amino acids to form a chain and create a protein according to the DNA template. The process involves transcription of DNA to mRNA, followed by translation of mRNA to produce a protein made of amino acids.
