Why is English pronunciation difficult?
 The spelling system of English does not represent very well
how English words are spoken.
 Sometimes the same sound is spelled in many different ways.
 Sometimes different sounds are written the same way.
 The alphabet has only 28 letters but English has at least
40 different sounds.
