They are asking for donations to ship the final container filled with clothes, books, furniture, and toys.

It was further developed in 1901 by Rabindranath Tagore and is now home to Visva-Bharati University. The Archaeological Survey of India has identified 27 heritage buildings at Santiniketan for restoration, including Santiniketan Griha, Upasana Griha, Taladhwaj, and buildings at Patha-Bhavana. The University of Kentucky Libraries have had a presence in Second Life since January 2008. Our activities in Second Life have focused primarily on events and exhibits, with our main library build serving as rotating exhibit space and a central meeting and event location for our university’s Second Life island. Library personnel have been active in creating educational content and supporting other users on our campus as they explore educational use of Second Life. This poster will highlight a number of different events and exhibits created or managed by the UK Libraries in Second Life.

1) Students from Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Poland, Croatia, Italy and Finland participated in a week-long exchange program in Järvenpää, Finland from May 15-21, 2016.
2) They attended lessons at the local school, engaged in arts and music activities, visited local attractions like forests and lakes, and stayed with host families.
3) Highlights included baking pastries, drama and music lessons, a trip to Helsinki, playing baseball, and a farewell party. The students were sad to leave their new friends and promised to keep in touch.

Participants can choose to attend weekend workshops over three weekends or full week workshops to learn all aspects of creating these structures in a rare opportunity to study with Alison in the UK.

Her professional experience includes teaching Afrikaans, arts, and culture at Rosebank Progress College from 2010-2014. She has also worked as an art teacher at the Frank Joubert Art Centre and as a docent and tour guide at the Spier Contemporary Exhibition in Cape Town. Additionally, she has experience facilitating art and drama workshops for community organizations.

Festivals and traditions
Bonfire Night is celebrated annually on November 5th in Great Britain to commemorate Guy Fawkes' failed Gunpowder Plot to assassinate King James I in 1605. Bonfires are lit and fireworks are set off to mark King James' survival. Guy Fawkes was caught placing barrels of gunpowder under the House of Parliament and was arrested. The tradition is observed by lighting bonfires and fireworks.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
