Erasmus+ Embrace Diversity Visit to Slovakia

2. • At 2 o’clock in the morning
we took the bus to go to
Madrid and from there we
had to take a plane to go
to Slovakia. As the plane
took us to the capital
(Bratislava) we had to take
a taxi to go to the town
called Zvolen. When we
arrived at school the
children who were going
to host us were already
there. The girl who I
stayed with was called
Jane and she is 13 years
old.

3. • In the morning we
were at school and we
gave out the postcards
from each country. We
made a mural that is
traditional in Slovak art
class. We ate lunch
there, and in the
afternoon we did a
gymkhana ( a treasure
hunt)that was to walk
around the centre of
the town, and see
what it was like.

4. WEDNESDAYThat day we went on a
field trip to a school where
there was a falconry
subject. There were many
birds like the bald eagle,
Royal owl and others.
There were also other
animals such as crocodiles,
monkeys, fish and lots
more. Then we went to a
mansion but unfortunately
we could not take photos.

5. • That day we went to
a workshop where
we made cookies,
ceramics, baskets
and we also learnt
how to make bread,
butter and cheese.
• After going there,
we went to school
and ate lunch. Then
we went to PE and
did hockey.

6. FRIDAY
• That day we made the
presentations about
Manuel Sierra and
Beatríz Martín Vidal in
a castle in Zvolen.
• Later we also made
some drawings telling
stories of each
country with colours
of the pictures they
told us when we were
visiting an art
museum .
• And in the afternoon
we went to have
dinner at the school.

7. • We went to the
mountains to
spend the
morning and
went on cable
cars to go up.
When we were
going up there
was a very nice
park, a restaurant
and a route to
walk along. The
mountains were
awesome!

8. SUNDAY• We left Zvolen at
9 in the morning,
and went to
Bratislava
because there
was not a plane
on Sunday for
Madrid. We
stayed in a hotel
and throughout
the day we were
visiting the city.
The city was very
beautiful!

9. •We took a plane
from Bratislava to
Madrid. And
finally we took a
bus to Valladolid.
Our last day in Slovakia.
