This document summarizes a project report for an online engineering aptitude test system. The system will allow teachers to create and administer online tests to students, and will automatically grade and record results. Key features include real-time testing, flexible test creation and scheduling, instant results display, and a student profile database. The system aims to reduce manual work for teachers and provide practice tests and immediate feedback for students. It will be developed using ASP.NET with a SQL Server database and have separate interfaces for students, teachers and an administrator.

4. ABSTRACT
Engineer’s Aptitude Test is basically intended at developing Website for providing an Online Test System
for the students of U.N.S.I.E.T. We will be developing this software because of the following reasons:
 Presently, if the teachers conduct any objective test, they have to check the answer sheets manually
which is time consuming.
 Students cannot do practice of attempting objective question papers.
 Generation of results manually might result in errors .The Online Test System will be overcoming
the above mentioned problems and will be providing the following features:
 There will be a real time testing environment.
 Test creation will become easier which will be including incorporation of new questions and
deletion and modification of already existing questions periodically.
 Paper pattern which includes duration of test, number of questions of various levels and marking
scheme; will have flexibility, i.e. faculty will have such options.
 Results and the answers will be displayed instantaneously just after the completion of test.
 The records of the students will be updated in their profile after the completion of their test for
future references.
 There will be different level of questions in the paper so that the judgment of student’s knowledge
can be done efficiently.
 There will be zero paper work.
 Depending upon the type of user, our project will be divided into 3 parts namely, Student, Faculty
and Administrator.
 The students will have to get themselves registered before they proceed further.

8. INTRODUCTION
Engineer’s Aptitude Test will provide a basis for effective fulfillment of conducting online tests as a
replacement for the paper based tests which are conducted at any time you want. It is a generic software which
is not specifically for U.N.S.I.E.T. but can be used by any college, school or institute. The only necessary
condition for the usage of this website is that there should be following users:
 Administrator: He is the person who will be responsible for maintaining the whole system. He will
have access to the profile of every student which will give the record of the performance of that student
in various tests he gave. He will be provided with the effective test system supervision.
 Student: He is the person who will be appearing in the test which will be conducted online by the
faculty. He will know his result instantaneously. Also, he will get the answers of the paper. Before all
this, he will have to register himself or fill login-id and password if already registered
OBJECTIVE:
 This Web Application provides facility to conduct online examination worldwide.
 It saves time as it allows number of students to give the exam at a time and displays the results as the
test gets over, so no need to wait for the result. It is automatically generated by the server.
 Administrator has a privilege to create, modify and delete the test papers and its particular questions.
 User can register, login and give the test with his specific id, and can see the results as well.
AIM:
The main aim behind the proposed system is to provide a comprehensive computerized system, which can
capture, collate and analyze the data from these wards and evaluate the impact of the program

11. Software Requirement Specification (SRS)
1. Introduction
The following subsections of the SRS document provide an overview of the entire SRS.
i) Purpose: The purpose of the project is to provide online facility to Institutes to conduct online exams
and to Students to give online exams. Institutes can enter and edit the questions along with the students list.
Also they can view the result. Students can login and give their respective exams and view their score then
and there. Others can view sample papers to get look and feel of the online examination system.
ii) Scope: The website to conduct online examination is “OnlineExams4U”. This website provides facility
to institutes to conduct online exams by providing a unique id to each institute. The institute provides
questions along with positive and negative marks. Institute also enters the list of eligible students. All the
information entered can be later edited by the institute.
In turn student can login with their id, name and instituteid to give the exams and can view their result
then and there. Institutes can also view the result of their students.
Benefits: This website reduces the manual work, maintaining accuracy, increasing efficiency and saving
time. Also institutes need not go to develop a new software each time, instead they just register and conduct
a test. For students, it saves time of going to far away centers and also they can view their result then and
there.
