This document discusses the differences between traditional and digital media. Traditional media includes magazines and newspapers, while digital media refers to the internet. The internet allows more voices to be heard compared to traditional media which uses only select voices. Both traditional and digital media are used by almost everyone. It is important to study the transition from traditional to digital media because digital media, like the internet, can be used as a tool for political and social movements, as was seen during the Egyptian uprising, in a way that traditional media cannot. While traditional media may be more reliable, it is also subject to censorship. An understanding of both forms of media is crucial.
