2. Professional Organizations
• Teachers should join professional organizations to help them be able to
have the most effective resources at their disposal. Professional
organizations help teachers learn the most recent ways to integrate
different techniques and provide the information necessary to implement
them.
3. Course of
Mind
• A teacher can learn from this podcast about
the different ways the science of learning
can shape the art of teaching the whole child
with or without the use of technology.
(Chase & White, 2021).
• This resource helps serve my students by
providing me the knowledge on how to
make sure I am teaching my children as a
whole and for the most part without
technology.
• I see most neuro-typical students benefiting
from this type of learning.
4. The
Immersive
Classroom
A teacher can learn how to impact learning for all
students by using immersive technology such as
Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. (Donally, 2021).
This resource helps me serve my students by helping
them to have a better grasp on subjects that may be
more difficult for them to learn. It also would help my
students to be able to use their creative abilities in order
to show what they are learning.
This can be used with a variety of different populations of
students.
5. Seesaw That! Special Education Teachers’
Thoughts About Flexible Digital Tools
• A teacher can learn how to provide active learning to their students, to have formative
assessments, and how to communicate with parents. Teachers can learn how they
developed and used knowledge and adaptive reasoning when implementing flexible
technology tools to meet student’s needs before and during the pandemic. (Anderson,
2021).
• This resource can help me serve my children because it will help me assess my students
better. It will also help me keep my students engaged better and provide electronic
communication with their parents in ways more than just emails.
• This benefits the population of preschool through 5 grade children in special education.
6. ISTE Live 21 EdTech Conference
• Imagining Inclusive Play — A UDL Approach to Ensuring ALL Students Have
FUN!
• This presentation is about helping teachers understand how to have a
universal design for learning (UDL) in play opportunities that will benefit all
children. They speak about using symbols to support language and
communication for speech development. UDL helps promote self-
regulation in the child as well. There are a variety of ways to facilitate
independence and foster the feeling of personal success in the child. A
teacher can learn how to reshape the classroom and effectively implement
the tools to support these strategies. (Blackstien-Adler et al., 2021).
7. ISTE Live 21 EdTech Conference Continued
• Empowering the Littles! Creating Effective Learning Opportunities for K-2 Learners
• This presentation is about providing teachers with more exciting ways to move beyond
rote activities to develop creativity and innovation. It helps the teacher to form a
constructivist-based learning environment and what that looks like to meet all of Webb’s
DOK. It will help students to construct their learning using inquiry, critical thinking and
problem-solving skills. They also teach on how technology can be utilized to make learning
an active process. (Daly & Sorgel, 2021).
8. Presentations
to Attend
• I would have been interested in attending both
previous presentations. They speak to things
that I could improve on in my classroom. I
would have also been interested in the other 2
presentations that went with the inclusive play
presentation. They focused on playful robotics
investigations in early childhood education
and how to incorporate technology in early
education. These interested me because I
need to do a better job of incorporating
technology at school even though I do not
have some capabilities to provide technology
to my students. It piques my interest about the
use of robots in early childhood education.
That is why I would be interested in viewing
that presentation. (Blackstien-Adler et al.,
2021).
9. Presentations
to Attend
Continued
• Another presentation I would like to view
talks about how to empower our littles to
create. It is a presentation on how to design
learning activities that align with content
area standards and use digital tools and
resources to maximize active, deep learning.
I would like to know more about this to help
me be able to provide the best learning I can
for my students and in the way that helps
them achieve the most. (Tannenbaum,
2021).
