I loaded a Photoshop document with page measurements, imported and resized an image to fit, and adjusted brightness and contrast. I then added the main coverline in suitable colors and the masthead "Lit" with an outline at 160pt. Additional coverlines were added at 35pt below the image along with a date, price, barcode and banner to give a professional, credible feel that appeals to the target audience.
2. First I loaded a Photoshop document with A4
and international paper measurements.
3. I then imported the image and resized it to best fit
the framing. Then I added brightness and contrast
to make the image look as good as possible.
4. I then added the main coverline with colours
which suited the image and reflected the person
in question.
5. I then added the masthead ‘Lit’ at font 160pt and added
the stroke blending option to give it a black outline
which I thought was a good decision to improve the
style.
6. I then added all of the coverlines at 35pt, ensuring
that they did not overlap the main image.
7. I then placed in the date, price and barcode giving
the magazine a professional feel with actual
credible issue information.
8. I then added a banner in the same colour as the
masthead with text which appeals to the target
audience.
