PRODUCTION PLAN

CAST AND CREW
• Jack: The main character of my film is called Jack. He is a someone who is small and
wears Indie clothing with a skater flare, such as boots, jeans and over coats. The actor I
have picked for this part is my friend Jack White, who the character is based off. Jack is
18 years old, has white blond hair and the reason I have picked Jack for the part is,
because I have known him for a long time and his mannerisms and acting ability make
him the perfect candidate for the part of Jack. Jack White does not live very far from
me and has agreed to be part of my film.
• Melissa: Melissa is my mother in real life and is aged 53. The reason I have chosen
my mother as the part of the women from the woods is because I want the woman to
be creepy, but also look like an everyday normal woman. My mother used to be an
amateur actor when growing up and went to theatre school, so she is a very capable
actor. I have also chosen my mother for this part as she is readily available and had
also agreed to be in this film.
THE REST OF THE CAST
• James: James Morris is another one of my good friends, who is also playing a character based on him, this
has been done as James is not the best actor but will be able to play himself very well. James does live very
far away, but I have been able to arrange for him to get a lift down with my other good friend Will Wallace
and I will pay for the petrol.
• Jacob: Jacob Grevatt will be playing the parts of Jacob, who is mainly a supporting character and does not have a
lot to say in this movie. He lives very close to me so travel money will not be an issue
• Will: Will Wallace will be playing the part of Will who is also a supporting character; this part does not entail a lot
of acting. Will does live far way but can drive and has agreed to drive down and bring James with him as I will be
paying for his petrol
• Ben: Ben Cook will be playing the part of Ben in the film and the character Is based again on him which makes the
acting a lot easier for him. ben also lives close to me and has agreed to do this film.
EQUIPMENT LIST

Equipment SD Card x 1 To save footage and sound on I will use this by putting it into my camera as it will save the
footage. I can then put it in a SD card reader and play on
my PC
Equipment SD Card Reader To put footage from SD card on to PC By putting the SD card into the SD card reader and
plugging into USB outlet on my PC
Equipment Computer To upload edit film and sound By using the various software packages, I have on my
computer
Software Adobe Photoshop To edit the photos By using the programmes editing tools
Software Adobe Premier Pro To edit the film together By using the various editing software tools
Software Adobe After Effects To edit the sound By using the various editing software tools
Software Office Suite (word, PowerPoint and excel) For paperwork and writing up scripts By using the programmes software tools
Asset Music To make my scenes more interesting and dramatic By putting it over certain key scenes
Asset Studio Logo To make my film more professional By having it at the beginning and end of the film

What Who Owns it? Legal Impact Any Impact on Use?
Your filmed footage You I will mark my work with my logo. Within the credits I
will verify that the work is mine. If others wish to use
part or all of my work, they will have to seek permission.
I have requested all those under 18 to get a parental
consent form signed. All those that are over 18 have
had to sign a personal consent form. I have confirmed
to all involved where the film will present and via the
consent forms, they have agreed to it being shown in
school and uploaded to YouTube.

wise I will be breaking copywrite law

If I was such as pyrotechnics, I would have to seek advice
on the health and safety
If I was to use, there would be in impact on filming as we
would have to be withing health and safety guidelines.

will do this by sending an email
It will be suspension as this will be used in a thriller
moment.
LEGAL REPORT GUIDE
What What is the impact on your film? Legal impact
Your certificate would you rate your short
film?
My film will be classed as a 15, this would mean I would
have to limit the amount of dangerous behaviours, alcohol
use and language
It is the BBFC that decides on the certificate a film is
given for cinema and DVDs. I will be uploading my
film to YouTube which is not governed by this so
will not impact me.
Content considerations Rather than show the actual murder happening I will cut to
the aftermath to avoid upsetting people. With the alcohol
I will show limited consumption of the alcohol but will cut
to scenes such as used bottles to imply its usage.
I will adhere to the guidelines for these activities.
Your film is going to be shown online My film will be broadcast online and will therefore have to
be under 50 minutes to qualify as a short film to meet the
requirements of ‘Shortoftheweek’ it will have to be under 40
minutes.
The legal implications are that I must have secured
through the proper channels the legal rights of any
music, stock images or videos and if required paid
the appropriate fees.

  • 2. CAST AND CREW • Jack: The main character of my film is called Jack. He is a someone who is small and wears Indie clothing with a skater flare, such as boots, jeans and over coats. The actor I have picked for this part is my friend Jack White, who the character is based off. Jack is 18 years old, has white blond hair and the reason I have picked Jack for the part is, because I have known him for a long time and his mannerisms and acting ability make him the perfect candidate for the part of Jack. Jack White does not live very far from me and has agreed to be part of my film. • Melissa: Melissa is my mother in real life and is aged 53. The reason I have chosen my mother as the part of the women from the woods is because I want the woman to be creepy, but also look like an everyday normal woman. My mother used to be an amateur actor when growing up and went to theatre school, so she is a very capable actor. I have also chosen my mother for this part as she is readily available and had also agreed to be in this film.

THE REST OF THE CAST • James: James Morris is another one of my good friends, who is also playing a character based on him, this has been done as James is not the best actor but will be able to play himself very well. James does live very far away, but I have been able to arrange for him to get a lift down with my other good friend Will Wallace and I will pay for the petrol. • Jacob: Jacob Grevatt will be playing the parts of Jacob, who is mainly a supporting character and does not have a lot to say in this movie. He lives very close to me so travel money will not be an issue • Will: Will Wallace will be playing the part of Will who is also a supporting character; this part does not entail a lot of acting. Will does live far way but can drive and has agreed to drive down and bring James with him as I will be paying for his petrol • Ben: Ben Cook will be playing the part of Ben in the film and the character Is based again on him which makes the acting a lot easier for him. ben also lives close to me and has agreed to do this film.

  • 5. LEGAL REPORT GUIDE What Who Owns it? Legal Impact Any Impact on Use? Your filmed footage You I will mark my work with my logo. Within the credits I will verify that the work is mine. If others wish to use part or all of my work, they will have to seek permission. I have requested all those under 18 to get a parental consent form signed. All those that are over 18 have had to sign a personal consent form. I have confirmed to all involved where the film will present and via the consent forms, they have agreed to it being shown in school and uploaded to YouTube. Studio title logo sequence I have created my own studio log o It identifies it as my work and others cannot copy or infringe on this It will limit others from copying Additional video footage found online I do not intend to use any additional video footage of stock images – if however, I use free stock images or purchase copywrite images in order to use them The images will either be free to use so no legal implications or if copywrite they will have to be purchased so that I have permission to use them If copywrite I will have to purchase in order to use others wise I will be breaking copywrite law Special effects Will not be using special effects If I was such as pyrotechnics, I would have to seek advice on the health and safety If I was to use, there would be in impact on filming as we would have to be withing health and safety guidelines. Sound effects/musical score I will be using xxx xxx soundtracks I will need to seek permission to use the soundtrack and will do this by sending an email It will be suspension as this will be used in a thriller moment.
  • 6. LEGAL REPORT GUIDE What What is the impact on your film? Legal impact Your certificate would you rate your short film? My film will be classed as a 15, this would mean I would have to limit the amount of dangerous behaviours, alcohol use and language It is the BBFC that decides on the certificate a film is given for cinema and DVDs. I will be uploading my film to YouTube which is not governed by this so will not impact me. Content considerations Rather than show the actual murder happening I will cut to the aftermath to avoid upsetting people. With the alcohol I will show limited consumption of the alcohol but will cut to scenes such as used bottles to imply its usage. I will adhere to the guidelines for these activities. Your film is going to be shown online My film will be broadcast online and will therefore have to be under 50 minutes to qualify as a short film to meet the requirements of ‘Shortoftheweek’ it will have to be under 40 minutes. The legal implications are that I must have secured through the proper channels the legal rights of any music, stock images or videos and if required paid the appropriate fees.
