Over the last 18+months, consumer behavior has witnessed tectonic shifts owing to the pandemic. Capgemini's recent report highlights these dynamic trends and evolving consumer behavior for consumer products and retails industries as we move forward in the new year.
Social really is here when it comes to the enterprise. Many see the role of social in consumer-focused businesses but have not absorbed what it means for the enterprise. Social is having a direct impact in 5 areas:
1. DIY prospecting: Customers conduct research on products and services well ahead of the official start to the sales cycle
2. Peer influence: Customers “pulse” their peers at every step of the journey
3. Trial before purchase: User testing requires grassroot support. It’s no longer a single decision instance rather smaller purchase bundles
4. Buyer & user are the same: The phenomenon changes decision and influence points in enterprise purchasing
5. Click to compare: Pricing transparency is foundational; consumer expectations are shaping enterprise behavior
Integrated product and service solutions often do not deliver the desired results since solutions involve joint coproduction between suppliers and customers. This leads to shifts in relational habits and task responsibilities and may cause tensions. These slides cover governance mechanisms that can solve such solution challenges.

Like it's predecessors in the series, this white paper is about B2B 3.0 (Business-to-Business 3.0), the next generation of technology for the enterprise that generates value throughout the supply chain, and how it enables e-Procurement 3.0, which is the only implementation of e-Procurement technology that is guaranteed to deliver maximum value -- and savings -- to your organization.
B2B 3.0 goes beyond simply streamlining processes and decreasing work, it also
enables content in new and innovative ways which not only enable commerce, but enable one of the cornerstones of business e-commerce -- e-Procurement. Unlike traditional e-Procurement solutions, which usually attack procurement in a piece-meal fashion, new e-Procurement 3.0 solutions are integrated commerce solutions that support each step of the various procurement cycles in your organization in a tightly-integrated fashion that seamlessly flow from one step to the next. An e-Procurement 3.0 solution, which integrates the m-way matching that eludes so many traditional piece-meal procurement applications at its core, ensures that the organization only pays for goods and services actually received -- and only pays at contracted rates. EProcurement 3.0 solutions succeed where previous generations of e-Procurement solutions failed.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Value Streams are Supply Chains and are:
1. Systems that source inputs that interact with data points, machines, processes, metrics, conversion mechanisms,
logistics functions, and people to develop and deliver useful products and services to customers
2. A mixture of value-creating activities, non-value creating but essential activities, and wasteful activities.
A Typical value Stream consists of 10% Value Creating, 30% non-value creating but essential activities, and 60%
wasteful activities. All three activities can be mapped and quantified for time and dollar impact.

9. Dock-To-Stock – An arrangement where materials bypass an incoming quality
inspection and are moved straight from the receiving dock to the warehouse.
JIT – Short for “Just In Time,” JIT inventory management is an approach where
Purchasing strives to have no inventory, instead relying on suppliers to deliver
material as soon to the time it is needed as possible.
Kanban – A strategy for moving materials in a multi-stage production
environment. The overriding philosophy is that materials are moved to the next
stage of the production process only when the next stage actually needs those
materials as opposed to movement according to a schedule or forecast.
