Printmaking is an ancient art form that involves transferring ink or other materials from a matrix onto paper or other surfaces. This document discusses how students will create motifs by carving a linoleum relief block and printing their designs. They will use a linoleum block, carving tools, ink, and paper to produce prints that are mirror images of their carved designs, with white areas indicating cut parts of the block and black showing uncut areas.
