Forbes makes the audience of
businessmen with a fair bit of
cash want to buy the magazine
because it talks about money,
and rich people.
Color scheme is very simplistic
and the font is big bold. Colors,
Blue, Grey, Black and White
The bloke in question looks formal
and is in a suit, showing the
businessman he is. He is clean
shaven showing he cares about his
appearance because important
people will be judging him for
how he looks.
He is pretty much looking
straight at his audience
suggesting they are of equal
success and money as the
model
In terms of the NRS social
grades this is aimed at people in
the A and B categories as they
have the most money and are the
closest to these successful
business people.
His body language is open as if
he is welcoming you into his
world/business. Could also
suggest he's a strong speaker
and is confident.

Would appeal to an audience of
teenage lads because Chris
Hemsworth is not a bad looking
bloke, and he's successful. The
success appeals to people
because everyone wants to have
money and success. And who
would not aspire to be like Thor?
As well as the celebrities making
the magazine appeal to teenage
lads, it also can appeal to almost
all blokes because it promotes
good health, success and how to
live a healthier life which many
people up to their death aspire
to do.
Chris isn't wearing anything that looks stupidly expensive, and his t-shirt is simple. This appeals to
the audience as it suggests it is something which is within reach for the majority
The font and color scheme are very
simplistic, consisting of black, white
and red which suggests a level of
accessibility to the lads who are
reading
Chris is looking down towards the
audience suggesting they are not or
are yet to be of the same level of
fitness, success and wealth as him.
His clothing does not inhibit
movement, he wears no jewelry
other than his watch which looks
like it has a leather strap. This
appeals to the average person
because of the functionality.
In terms of NRS social grades , this magazine could probably be intended for anyone from B to D as
being healthy isn't something which is affected by how much money you have. However the rich
have more time for fitness stuff.

The use of Anthony Joshua
appeals to pretty much the whole
Great British public, AJ is one of
the few household names left in
boxing. He's humble, articulate
and attractive. Women love him,
and men would love to be him.
The color scheme is very simple,
sticking to black, grey and red.
Which is very similar to the other
sports magazines I've looked at.
He has his hands wrapped and
and a pair of fight shorts on
which appeals to the audience of
boxing fans cause it is how they
are used to seeing AJ
As well as the usage of AJ
promoting the magazine, the
fact he is on that magazine
builds the hype towards his fight
against Klitschko. It looks like the
theme of this issue is boxing,
due to the use of AJ and the
terminology used
AJ is an absolutely huge bloke
(1.98m), has a 17" bicep, 47"
chest and 36" waist, AJ is looking
far down towards the camera
and the audience because he is
so much greater than everyone
else, in both ability to box and
also in terms of fitness. It shows
the average person cannot
become AJ, cannot have his level
of skill, success or be the
household name that he is.
In terms of NRS social grades, I think this magazine could be aimed
anywhere from B through D because it is aimed at people who
aspire to be like the people on the front of the magazines, the
"aspirers" in society so to speak.
Research Analysis
What common features do the researched
products have?
Many of the products have a similar theme running through magazines of the same genre, such
as sports ones stick to the red, black and white/grey look. The blue and white used by Forbes for
their business magazine sticks to their branding which is something you would expect in business
as businesses often have to stick to their branding for recognition.
What aspects of the research will you include
within your on work?
I think I will use aspects of the color schemes and maybe find a way to use something similar to
the use celebrities to appeal to their audience.

Color scheme is very simplistic and the font is big bold. Colors, Blue, Grey, Black and White The bloke in question looks formal and is in a suit, showing the businessman he is. He is clean shaven showing he cares about his appearance because important people will be judging him for how he looks. He is pretty much looking straight at his audience suggesting they are of equal success and money as the model In terms of the NRS social grades this is aimed at people in the A and B categories as they have the most money and are the closest to these successful business people.   • 5. Existing Product Would appeal to an audience of teenage lads because Chris Hemsworth is not a bad looking bloke, and he's successful. The success appeals to people because everyone wants to have money and success. And who would not aspire to be like Thor? As well as the celebrities making the magazine appeal to teenage lads, it also can appeal to almost all blokes because it promotes good health, success and how to live a healthier life which many people up to their death aspire to do. Chris isn't wearing anything that looks stupidly expensive, and his t-shirt is simple. This appeals to the audience as it suggests it is something which is within reach for the majority The font and color scheme are very simplistic, consisting of black, white and red which suggests a level of accessibility to the lads who are reading Chris is looking down towards the audience suggesting they are not or are yet to be of the same level of fitness, success and wealth as him. His clothing does not inhibit movement, he wears no jewelry other than his watch which looks like it has a leather strap. This appeals to the average person because of the functionality. In terms of NRS social grades , this magazine could probably be intended for anyone from B to D as being healthy isn't something which is affected by how much money you have. However the rich have more time for fitness stuff.

  • 7. Existing Product The use of Anthony Joshua appeals to pretty much the whole Great British public, AJ is one of the few household names left in boxing. He's humble, articulate and attractive. Women love him, and men would love to be him. The color scheme is very simple, sticking to black, grey and red. Which is very similar to the other sports magazines I've looked at. He has his hands wrapped and and a pair of fight shorts on which appeals to the audience of boxing fans cause it is how they are used to seeing AJ As well as the usage of AJ promoting the magazine, the fact he is on that magazine builds the hype towards his fight against Klitschko. It looks like the theme of this issue is boxing, due to the use of AJ and the terminology used AJ is an absolutely huge bloke (1.98m), has a 17" bicep, 47" chest and 36" waist, AJ is looking far down towards the camera and the audience because he is so much greater than everyone else, in both ability to box and also in terms of fitness. It shows the average person cannot become AJ, cannot have his level of skill, success or be the household name that he is. In terms of NRS social grades, I think this magazine could be aimed anywhere from B through D because it is aimed at people who aspire to be like the people on the front of the magazines, the "aspirers" in society so to speak.

Many of the products have a similar theme running through magazines of the same genre, such as sports ones stick to the red, black and white/grey look. The blue and white used by Forbes for their business magazine sticks to their branding which is something you would expect in business as businesses often have to stick to their branding for recognition. What aspects of the research will you include within your on work? I think I will use aspects of the color schemes and maybe find a way to use something similar to the use celebrities to appeal to their audience.
