Question number 1
What
can you do with your voice to
communicate effectively?

Scream at them Whisper so they can barely
                     hear you

Speak clearly with Don’t bother cause
pitch and volume they won’t listen
Correct!!
Speaking clearly and altering your pitch will
easily keep the person listening to you
interested in what you are saying.
 Don’t speak too quietly or loudly because
you with either make them unable to hear you
or annoyed with the volume of your voice.
People will listen to you if your voice interests
you, monotones will bore people.
Question Number 2
What could you do to keep your
audience engaged and communicate
effectively?

  Slam the door Use PowerPoint
                         or other
                         technology

                      Hide in the
  Cry corner
Correct!!
Using PowerPoint lets people who prefer to learn things
visually to understand what you are saying better, you
could use images and diagrams which can demonstrate
what you are trying to say.

You could show them video clips in order to entertain
them and keep them interested in what you are trying to
show them.

You could find some example websites that explain what
you are saying well so that they could remember the links
and look at them later on if they want to.
Question Number 3

What Could You Do In Order To Grab The
Audience's Attention?

  Use Rhetorical Confuse them with
questions and other too many facts they
forms of question of don't understand
  answer

Act like you Hide and hope
  don't care they go away
Correct!!
●If you use questions you will be able to make
people consider the answers in their own
mind, you don’t necessarily have to answer the
question for them either, you can leave it open
ended, as a rhetorical question, or you could
answer the question so they are either
surprised by the answer or if they thought the
same they would be able to relate to it better .
Question Number 4
Which Of These May Help Someone To
Understand You Easier?
                        Make Hand
Fold Your Arms Gestures and Sign
                        What You Are Trying
                        To Express

                               Turn Your Back
     Glare At Them
                               On Them
Correct!!
Using gestures will allow people to see the
emphasis you are putting into your sentences
and hence making what you are saying easier
to understand in their own mind. Some people
prefer to learn visually so if you are doing this
they can pick up the words related with this
action and understand they are of higher
importance.
Question Number 5
Which Of These Would Give The Best
Impression To Your Audience?

                          Keeping Your
    Sitting Down With
                          Back To Everyone
    Your Feet Up On The
    Desk

       Standing Up Folding Your
       Strait With Feet Arms And
       Shoulder Width Curling Your
       Apart Body In A
                            Little
Correct!!!
Good body language gives off positive
energy from you which makes people
want to listen to you. If you are curled
away this will make you seem like you
are not very confident in what you are
saying and folding your arms would give
the impression that you wanted to create
a barrier between you and the people
you are talking to.
Question Number 6
Which Of These Would Help Your
Audience Understand You Better?

Telling them to get Asking them to leave
 a life

                               Summarising the
Mumbling about how points you have
they're probably not made so they recap
    even listening the information
Correct!!
Active engagement such as
nodding, paraphrasing and summarising helps
people to keep paying attention. Recapping
things they have already heard gives them the
chance to reconsider the information in their
mind for a second time. Nodding is also
effective because if a nod is returned it means
that the other person is paying attention to you
and you show that you are paying attention to
them as well.
Question Number 7
What could you do in order to keep your
audience engaged?

Use a mix of Do nothing and hope it
closed and open will be enough
 questions.

Ignore them until Keep telling them the
they leave you same thing repeatedly
  alone
Correct!!I
You should use open questions in order to get
more detailed and thorough responses and
closed questions when a simple yes or no is a
sufficient response, you should also pay
attention to your speed of response when a
question is aimed at you, answering fast may
seem like you rushed into thinking of the
answer but taking a very long time may seem
like you are avoiding something. Take your time
to answer the question in the best way you can.
Question Number 8

Which Of These Should You Avoid In
Order To Continue Good Communication?

                        Having distractions
Using hand signs to and background
emphasize what you noise in the room
  are saying

    Summarising
                         Speaking clearly
    what you have
    been saying
    every so often
Correct!!

You should avoid at all costs having many distractions
around and having
Background noise because this will make people be less
focused on what
You are saying and this means that they wont take the
information in as well
As if they were only focusing on you, if people aren't
listening to you then you
aren’t communicating very well.
Question Number 9

Which Of These Would Help To Get A
Certain Emotion Across Well?

  4437362829 hjajhakjaihkdc

   :) /
                         Silence
Correct!!
● An emoticon is a great way to express the
general mood of what you are talking about. It
makes the audience understand better how
the topic should make them feel, if you were
talking about the death of someone a sad
face would help to make what you are saying
    seem more sympathetic. However overusing
emoticons can become annoying and make
the audience feel like the page is too
    overcrowded and busy. 
Question Number 10

Which of these displays a better example
of communication?

                           ive never been to
  I hav nvr bin 2
                           france have you
  france hav u

                           I’ve never been
I’ve never been to france, have
     to France, have you?
     you?
Correct!!!
Good grammar is essential to effective
communication, it can prevent what you are
saying being misunderstood as easily. If a
sentence is not properly punctuated it can give an
entirely different meaning to when it is punctuated.
Places and names are more easy to recognize if
they begin with a capital letter too and this also
helps the person you are addressing to
understand better what you mean.
Question Number 11
●When considering communicating effectively
what should you focus on in order to fulfil this?

Spelling things correctly Buying lollipops for the
And checking they are people you are talking to
           spelt right

    Whether the windows are
                                Where your sandwich is
          cold or not
Correct!!
Spelling is crucial to good communication
because if people can't understand a word
you have written it may lead them to not
being able to understand an entire sentence
and if this happens often they may not even
understand what you are talking about at
all, if this happens then you will not be
communicating very well and your audience
will be very confused
Question Number 12
How should you structure your writing in order to
communicate effectively?

Write it all in one giant Put the information in
           paragraph smaller manageable
                                    paragraphs with suitable
                                           headings

                                    Write one word then press
Write nothing at all enter and keep doing the
                                              same
Correct!!!!

Structure is important in order to make the
writing not seem overwhelming to the audience,
if there is one long paragraph they are likely to
avoid reading the entire thing because it seems
too much and like it drags on, if you cleverly
choose how much is in each paragraph it will
make it seem more manageable to read
Question Number 13
Which of these displays relevance to an audience of
older people?

Loud pop music that they Talking to them in technical
have never heard of and language they have never
can barely hear you over it heard before

  Explaining the topic you are
talking about and making Lots of flashy PowerPoint slides
references to things they with tiny font size
       would know about
Correct!!!

Relevance to the audience is extremely
important, if you are talking to them about
something that isn't interesting to them or
they dislike what you are talking about then
they aren't going to want to listen to you so
then you aren’t communicating effectively . If
you find a way to include their particular
interests then they won’t get bored as easily.
Question Number 14
What can you do to ensure there are no mistakes in
your work and remind yourself to fix any that there are?

Just leave it and hope it is
      Deleting everything
                                               right

Proofread it and use Scribble over it so you
      proofreading marks can’t read it
Correct!!!

Proofreading is a good way to spot any
mistakes you make to avoid ineffective
communication, if you proofread it you can
find mistakes that a spellchecker may not
pick up for example a typo that spells a
different word to the one you wanted to
say but it is still technically a word even if it
doesn’t fit in grammatically.
Question Number 15
What can you do to make what you are saying more
interesting to the audience?

Smile and wave like a crazy Use alternative viewpoints on
              person the subject.

        Don’t bother doing
                                          Sit on the floor
             anything
Correct!!!!
Using alternative viewpoints allows them to
decide which they side with, they will also
appreciate the other viewpoints and can
understand them better, this means that
they have a better overall view of the topic
and then they understand it better which
means that the communication was more
 successful.
Question Number 16
What could you give the audience the means to do if
they choose to that will help them understand you
better?

Give them a push towards Give them tomatoes to throw
the door so they can leave at you

Give them paper and pen so
Give them rotten eggs they can take notes if they
                                             want
Correct!!!!

If they take notes they will take in what they
hear or read better because their mind has
to process the information itself and this
means that they will understand it better,
also they can look at the notes later and see
what they need to know from it, for
example if there was a crucial date on it
then they would see this and it would
remind them what they need to do that day.
Question Number 17
Which of these could be a hindrance in regards
to effective communication?

                             Clear voice making you easily
      Good grammar
                                heard and understood

Cultural differences Asking them to take notes
Correct!!!
You have to consider that in the people
you are talking to, there may be some
who don’t have the same first language
as you and therefore they may not
understand if you talk too fast or if you
use vocabulary they may not be too
familiar without explaining it.
