Compulsory Exercise Analysis
Ten easy exercises to help tone your inner thighs
Tone your thighs can be achieved through two types of exercises: activities to strengthen the muscles
that help to strengthen them and cardiovascular activities that help burn fat throughout the body,
including around the thighs. The muscles of your inner thighs include adductor, pectineus and gracilis,
and there are few exercises that target these muscles. Cardio exercises will help you burn fat and there
are several that are easy to make, without expensive equipment or memberships.
Calisthenics
No need to go to the gym to exercise the muscles of the inner thighs. Calisthenics exercises using your
own body weight as resistance and can be easily made at home. Do lunges, side lunges, squats, wide

Examples Of Classification Of Business Students
Classification of Business Students
As members of a team studying at State Colleges, students are individuals. As a team, however, they
are a collage of different individuals working together to achieve a common goal. The goal, in this
case, is a business management degree. No matter how common their goal is as a team, students, as
individuals, have a unique path to achieving it.
Some team members have an interactive style. In other words, they have the tendency to be fast paced,
and spontaneous. This is fine and works well with a couple of the dominant styles in the group as they
see eye to eye on the speed of completing tasks. On the other hand, there is a cautious style with the
team that has a slower paced approach to tasks. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nonetheless, they must always maintain perspective by seeking to be less emotional and intense about
non critical situations. Taking a stress management course and learning simple breathing exercises to
deal with pressure will be best for an impresser.
Another style is the predominantly behavioral cautious style, which is also known as the master
minder. The master minder is said to be more guarded and less indirect than most other cautious
styles. The primary goal motivating this type of behavior is to increase opportunities for unique and
significant personal accomplishments. This type of person express themselves more by what he or she
does than what he or she says. Consequently, this person has strong needs to choose their own goals
and to work independently. They incline to be primary idea generators and developers, and they have
little interest in dealing with implementation details. Some of their tendencies are being focused and
self controlled with people and also being focused on the future, especially in concerning ideas and
opportunities. Sometimes they have a tendency to over analyze and possibly procrastinate when they
re under pressure. Although they do take some calculated risk when making decisions, they also enjoy
planning, monitoring, and measuring. However, to improve his or her educational achievements, a
person with this type of behavior needs to work on being less guarded and more direct when
communicating with others. They need to commit

Paradox Of Grief
One of the themes that that we covered in lecture is grief, including the different types of grief that
people experience, and the ways in which people learn to deal with grief. In life, we will all
experience the death of someone close to us at one point in our lives. Because their death may be very
hard on us, grieving will help us get through our daily lives and help us heal from this pain. Everyone
responds to a loss in their lives in different ways, depending on the type of person he/she is and the
cause of death of their loved one. When we experience a difficult loss in our lives, we respond by
grieving and learning to accept this loss. According to Kastenbaum, there are many types of grief,
including: normal and complicated grief, anticipatory grief, resolved and unresolved grief, and hidden
and disenfranchised grief. Specifically, Kastenbaum explains how grief should be resolved within a
reasonable period of time, but at the same time, the loss of a crucial relationship is never completely
resolved: we move on with our lives, but we will never be the same again (Kastenbaum, 350). This
reminds me of Susan Patron s the Higher Power of Lucky. In this book, Lucky, a 10 year old girl, has
to live her life with her mother s death and an absent father who calls ... Show more content on

One of the paradoxical truths that we discussed in lecture was that death leads to grief over loss; and
yet death involves a new life, even gain (Lecture, May 16). This also relates to Lucky s situation
because the death of her mother led to her grieving process, but it also made her look at life differently
and gain from her experiences. Through grieving for her mother s death, Lucky was able to find her
higher power and learn how to get through difficult situations in life. She is now also able to accept
her new life as Brigitte legally adopts her and gain an understanding of life and death through her

What Is The Last Letter To Emily Dickinson
As if you haven t already noticed, these letters are all going to revolve around Emily Dickinson. To
me, she is a pretty interesting subject to learn and talk about and I hope you are finding these letters
interesting as well. Hmmm, your sister called me the other day. I am sorry to hear that you are
between houses now. I am assuming that is why I have yet to receive a second letter. You shouldn t be
stubborn and just move in with your sister. She will not think any less of you if you do. Moving away
from that topic, this letter is going to contain some incredibility juicy information about a term of my
choosing, in relation to Emily Dickinson of course. This is part of an assignment my professor likes to
call critical terms. Basically, it s a list of terms that we, the students, have to write definitions to using
our big and brainy brains. The term I picked and wrote a definition to was the word Authors Function.
First, do you know the meaning of Authors Function? No? Great, then this shall be fun to explain
(note I am saying this sarcastically). Well, if I remember correctly, the term was coined by Michel
Foucault in his article ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Remember I wrote that I think the poem is saying that when you have had a long day, cap off the
memory of it with the best part of it, whether if the best memory comes from the good morning or the
rash evening you have had. Honestly from reading this poem, I get the impression that Dickinson was
an optimistic type of person. The poem, to me, screams positivity. Despite what the poem she wrote
might mean, we cannot assume that Dickinson really was this type of person. Technically we know
that she was not this type of person because of information that we have on her today, but back then, a
literate person reading it to him/herself or reading it to others would have associated the meaning of
the poem to her person. I believe this is what Foucault was trying to say with his term Authors

What Is Animal Abuse Persuasive Essay
Laura Trammell
Mr. Dickson

They Hurt Too Animals feel pain and are capable of suffering, just like people. Animals are beaten and
starved to death almost every day. Millions of animals die each year because of brutal and insensitive
owners. Most people don t understand the feelings that animals have and honestly I don t understand it
either but what I do understand is when I see an animal that has been abused, I can tell the way it acts
toward people and their surroundings. They re terrified of us and almost every move we make. It is
not a pretty sight to witness. In one January case, a necropsy showed a dog that had starved to death,
with no fat remaining even in its bone marrow, leading to a felony charge for its owner. (Deirdre, 2) I
understand that when an animal gets abused, they hurt really bad and they can feel the pain of what us
humans feel sometimes too if we were to get punched it hurts but just ... Show more content on

William Wycherley Essay
The restoration era of theatre was a unique period of time for iconic practitioners and actors to
revitalise the love for drama after an 18 year ban enforced by the reign of the Puritans, one of these
practitioners being William Wycherley. Wycherley was born in Shrewsbury, United Kingdom, just a
year before the Puritans took thrown of the English Parliament in 1642. He grew up with his family as
middle class citizens with an exceptional property until he was 15 where Wycherleys parents figured it
would be that his son would get his education outside of their home town and therefore sent him off to
France where he would grow up to become one of the most recognisable comedic writers of the late
17th century. He received his education in Charente, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Social matters and characters with controversial personalities, or even personalities which reflected
the audience were often portrayed throughout most of his scripts using various techniques, one of
these techniques being his use of one liners. One liners can be described as a witty remarks which are
abrupt and snappy to enhance the amusement of the play. Consequently, Wycherleys constant use of
these short jokes brought popularity back to the use of them and has been adapted to modern theatre
which can be seen in comedy movies or sitcom television shows. The one liners used in both The
Country Wife and The Plain Dealer are what brought both performances such high levels of success.
The Country Wife and The Plain Dealer are described to be Mr Williams highly regarded works which
he had produced. The Country Wife included marvelous characters who did not change their
personalities or morals, if they were a horrible person, that s what they remained for the durations of
the play without character development. The Country Wife was published in 1675 and depicted the
story of a man who has countless affairs with woman and a country girl becoming accustomed with
the town life and the captivating men in London. The play s vile humour was soon banned from the
theatre and was transformed into a more appropriate film in later

Andre Agassi Family Expectations
The extract from Andre Agassi s autobiography Open is about family expectations. When you ex pect
something particular from someone or something you are talking about expectations. Family
expectations is, therefore when for example when your father has a certain expectation to you, about
the fact that you have to live up to a certain demand from your family.
In the extract from Andre Agassi s autobiography Open we are aware of how there are some fami ly
expectations in his family. He says: when his father was a child, his mother, Andre Agassi s
grandmother, had expectations to his father about how he should behave and be a good boy. He
mentions that she would beat him if he hadn t behaved properly. He describes his grandmother as a

his way of writing is quite easy to deal with and easy to understand. The sentences in the
autobiography are mostly short and therefore, in this case, easier to understand. Andre Agassi is able
to tell his story about his life very well in his autobiography, he makes his autobiography personal in
which way makes the autobiography exciting and inviting. When he uses examples of a dialogue,
which have been going on between his father and him or his father and his grandmother he makes the

Voodoo And Caribbean Religion
Voodoo and Caribbean Religions
The belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods is
what is defined as Religion. In many religions text is believed to have scriptural status and moral
authority. In some religions like Voodoo, there are no moral authority or text. It is a community
centered around individual experiences, empowerment, and responsibility and is practiced by people
who are imperfect and may use religion for their own purposes. It is a religion that originates from
Africa. Voodoo is thought to be a various combination of African, Catholic, and Native traditions. The
goal of Voodoo is to serve the Spirits (sevi lwa) offering prayers and numerous devotional rites to God
and other spirits for health, favor, and protection. Spirit possession plays an important role in this
religion. It is an oral tradition that is practiced by extended families that inherit familial spirits and
devotional practices by elders. The forms of Voodoo practiced today are the results of one of the most
inhumane episodes in modern history: The African Slave Trade between the 16th and 19th century.
When Africans were bought here to America they bought Voodoo with them. During slavery an
underground religion (voodoo) started to emerge among slaves. It was a combination of African
religious traditions with elements of Catholicism. Many of the early Voodoo priest came from a
Muslim background. During slave times, Voodoo equaled revolt. To

Epiphanies in Joyce s Dubliners and Chaucer s Canterbury...
James Joyce s Dubliners is a compilation of stories that all rely on character epiphanies in order to
develop each story. These epiphanies change the tone of each story because each yields a negative
change or reaction. In both Araby and The Dead , the characters realize or learn something about the
world around them, which makes them second guess either themselves or the reason behind their
actions. Geoffrey Chaucer s Canterbury Tales contains at least one tale that relies on an epiphany to
help develop theme but it doesn t change the tone or course of the story, it just helps to portray the true
meaning of the character. The Pardoner becomes a deeper character because of his epiphany, which is
what makes it important to the rest of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another factor that could possibly have helped to cause the Pardoner s epiphany is the pilgrimage, he
feels the need to repent for all his hypocrisy and scams so his soul doesn t go a blackberrying (pg 511,
ll 78) when he dies. The Pardoner s epiphany doesn t change the course or the tone of the tale in itself,
because he continues to act the way he usually does in regards to his relics and pardons. However, at
the end of the tale the way he acts towards the travelers is just a cover of how he is truly feeling.
The situation is different in Joyce s Dubliners. Each story involves an epiphany that causes the
character to have a negative outlook on life. It changes the tone of the story completely. For example,
in Araby a young boy has a negative experience at a bazaar, which alters his view of the world. He just
wanted to impress an older girl that he loved because she couldn t go to Araby at all. He was so
excited and mesmerized by the thought of the bazaar and possibly even winning the girl s love, that
even the syllables of the word Araby were called to me through the silence in which my soul
luxuriated and cast an Eastern enchantment over me (pg 17). However, the atmosphere of Araby was
the exact opposite of what the boy had been imagining because it wasn t exotic at all. Plus, it was dark
and empty because he arrived around

The Promise of a Pencil
Adam Braun s journey to create his non profit Pencils of Promise was not an easy one. With that in
mind, there are many ways in which his struggles and the mantras at the start of each chapter
compares to my shift from highschool to college. Of course, this is not in the literal sense but more so
metaphorically.
At the beginning of the book Adam questioned what he wanted to do for the rest of his life, this is
something I ask myself on a daily basis. That led to him joining a program called Semester at Sea. He
would end up backpacking through several developing countries for 100 days. Students who were part
of the program were transported there on a cruise ship. The vessel was relatively new and it was to
attempt a North Pacific crossing to their destinations. That route was faster but riskier, it led to the
boat almost sinking and complete chaos. At first Adam believe that he would perish, he freaked out

Coming from a small private school, I had become accustomed to having almost every class with the

Hernandez not only imitated his father s sports star status playing for the Patriots, but also became
involved with criminals and took on the role of his father s gang type lifestyle and began using drugs.
His lifestyle choices almost prevented him from gaining his success as an athlete in the NFL. Despite
his obvious talents, NFL teams were wary of drafting Hernandez due to his admitted flunking of a
drug test. Privately, many teams also worried about his association with gang types from his home
neighborhood. He fell to the fourth round in the 2010 NFL draft before the New England Patriots
selected him with the 113th overall pick (Bio, 2015). Once he was drafted, Hernandez quickly proved
his professionalism as a football player. He had 45 catches in his first year, which was a Patriots team
record for the tight ends, helping the team secure the AFC Championship. In his second year, playing
alongside with Rob Gronkowski, he led the Patriots offense with 24 touchdowns and 2,237 receiving
yards, helping secure the team s position in the Super Bowl XLVI. Then in his third year he was
injured, but was still positioned to become a leader of the team, which was recognized by the Patriots
with his sizable signing bonus (A E, 2015). Although Hernandez would not be indicted for murder
until 2013, his legal problems began in early 2007, while still attending the University of Florida.

Is the romantic perception of Cleopatra made my Enobarbus a realistic one? You hardly ever see her
being romantic so therefore Enobarbus perception of Cleopatra may not be an accurate perception of
Cleopatra. However this famous tribute in which Enobarbus uses to describe Cleopatra may not be an
accurate observation because Enobarbus speech is very romantic and lyrical. The way Shakespeare
uses paradoxes within this famous tribute is to try and show the variety within her personality. To
glow the delicate cheeks which they did cool This paradox of fire and water (glow and cool), portrays
that, is this the reality of Cleopatra? , Or is it just an imaginative perception of Cleopatra. Is this the
infinite variety Enobarbus is talking about, to some extent this is not an accurate perception of
Cleopatra s personality because Enobarbus is under the influence of the Egyptian delights and
enjoyments, in which Cleopatra has influenced him into. Enobarbus speech follows with a less lyrical
and exotic description of Cleopatra. This as a whole is something of a paradox. This prepares us for
greater paradoxes of Cleopatra s infinite variety , where she is contrasted with other women in making
people hungry , where she most satisfies, the vile things in her are becoming and developing. Where

The World War I Led From The Imperialist Age Of The 19th...
World War I led to the deaths of over 70 million people in Europe, and destroyed the already weak
infrastructure left from the imperialist age of the 19th century. During this time of rebuilding,
Germany turned to people they believed would help them rebuild. The people who would rebuild
would also destroy the freedoms of the German people through their aggressive takeover. This
takeover by the German National Socialist Party, dubbed the Nazi Party by Bavarians, was defined for
the brutality and the totalitarian government by which it ruled. So the question is, how did they take
over? How did a party made from the hands of but 5 people manage to conquer all of Germany during
the 1930s? This is due to the harsh stipulations enforced by the post war efforts of the allied powers
and the following collapse of many European countries. Lack of International Cooperation led to the
blaming of the Central Powers of Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, and the Ottoman Empire after the first
World War. The only problem with this was that Germany was the only nation intact after the
Armistice Day in 1918. Germany s Imperial government had been overthrown in the German
November Revolution of 1918 and had been set up as the new Weimar Republic. This meant that,
reluctantly, the German Reichstag had to accept blame for all damages created by the war and the
Central Powers. In 1919, after the conclusion of World War I, a formal treaty was signed. This treaty,
known as the Treaty of Versaille,

Industrialization in America Essay
As America was rapidly industrializing, the products that were being mass produced were in demand
all over the nation. In order to get food, supplies and raw materials to the industrial centers that needed
them, it was crucial that the speed of transportation was increased. Multiple types of transportation
came forth in early 1800 s including roads, canals, steamboats and railroads which would all
contribute to the industrialization of America. This time period would come to be known as the
Transportation Revolution of America. (Ochoa 2). In 1815, farmers were struggling to keep up with
the high cost of transportation of their goods. Near the end of the Transportation Revolution in 1850,
transportation cuts had been cut by ninety five ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fulton introduced the Clermont, which was the first commercially practical steamboat. In 1815, the
steamboat service started on the Mississippi River and before long they expanded across the nation
(Ochoa 2). Steamboats could go upriver as well as downriver, which was not possible prior to the
invention of steam power and boats could only go with the current downriver with no way to return
North. Steamboats allowed transportation to be a two way process and goods could be moved to the
North and the South easily. Steamboats became increasingly important for the transportation of goods,
and in effect the river cities were economically significant and powerful due to the money, goods and
people moving through them every day. River cities such as Cincinnati, New Orleans, and St. Louis
became very influential in American politics and economy. Steamboats were improved throughout the
years and became one of the leading contributions of the Transportation Revolution. However,
steamboats also had negative qualities that completely changed the America rivers landscape. The
steamboats could be hazardous due to the pollution of the air that the exhaust from it caused. They
could also be quite deadly in accidents that regularly occurred in rivers across America. Nevertheless,
steamboats revolutionized all aspects of the American lifestyle by giving new ways to

Multi Step Synthesis Of Aspirin
This experiment explored the multi step synthesis of synthesis acetylsalicylic acid commonly known
as aspirin. A common procedure used in organic chemistry labs is multi step synthesis. this procedure
involves a cascade of reactions that ultimately lead to a desire product. The series of reactions begins
with commonly found or readily available reagents which are synthesized into products which can be
used for a secondary reaction, and so on and so forth until the final desired product is synthesized
(Ryerson Department of Chemistry, 2017).
In this experiment the synthesis of aspirin was used to find the importance of the efficiency of
multistep synthesis as well as a means to explore a number or purity tests. The purity tests used in this
experiment were a melting point range test, a thin layer chromatography test, a ferric chloride test, and
infrared spectroscopy.
After the completion of the experiment it was found that the percent yield was 24% which is very low.
This shows the importance of efficiency as the process of making aspirin, is a two step synthesis
(Atienza et al., 2010) and 74% of theoretical product was converted into waste or lost. Also it was
found that the end product was not pure aspirin as the sample of aspirin made failed two purity test.
This revealed that not merely one purity test is not sufficient to denote a substance as pure.
Introduction
The first step of the synthesis is to take pure methyl salicylate and hydrolyzed into salicylic acid,

Struggling to Define Industry in the Industrial Disputes Act
INTRODUCTION
No other provision of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (hereinafter ID Act) has been under as much
scrutiny as the definition of industry given under section 2(j). To avail the benefit of the ID Act, it is
necessary for the worker to prove that his place of employment falls under the purview of the
definition of industry in s 2(j). Over the years the judiciary has laid down certain tests and criteria to
determine and limit (or as seen later, expand) the scope of the legislation to extend the benefits to
workers in different establishments. One such issue was to examine if educational institutions
(universities, schools, etc) would fall under s. 2(j). This essay starts by tracing the judicial
developments with regard to educational institutions under s 2(j).
ARE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS INDUSTRY ?
The concern of education as industry arose for the first time in Corporation of Nagpur v Its Employees
. It was held that the education department of the corporation was a service being provided and would
therefore fall under industry . The question was again addressed in Delhi University v Ram Nath in
1963. The argument presented was that widest meaning should be given to s. 2(j) along the line of the
decision in Hospital Mazdoor Sabha , wherein it had been stated that industry expressly included
services . The working principle stated that the activity should involve the co operation of the
employer and employees with the object of satisfying material

William Shakespeare s Three Sets Nature And The...
The Sublime in Three Sets Nature and the Romantics are two sides of the same coin. In almost every
single poem we have read over the course of this semester we have been able to find hints of the
natural world. These instances were moments of hunger. While industrialization was tearing
landscapes up by their roots, Romantic poets were desperate to experience the euphoric sense of
sublimity they had come to associate with the highest level of consciousness. However, this sense of
sublimity is not a constant achievable state. For each poet the definition is different, and time was
altering the facets of this theory. This paper will look critically at two poets and one essayist in an
attempt to study the changing face of sublimity. For ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These pastoral farms, / Green to the very door; and wreaths of smoke / Sent up, in silence, from

Smoke symbolizes warmth within these homes, as well. The reference to the word pastoral is
connotative with rural countryside based imagery. There is also a sense of innocence about this
landscape. Something the speaker is looking in on with feelings of elation. Wordsworth definition of
the word sublime is one of positivity, which is shown in the following quotation. ...felt along the heart;
/ And passing even into my purer mind / With tranquil restoration: feelings too / Of unremembered
pleasure: (29 32). Wordsworth is giving us what is happening internally to our speaker. He is lulled by
this picturesque countryside into complete tranquility and peace. He is even allowed the wonderful
feeling of pleasure. For Wordsworth, the sublime is synonymous with pleasure of the purest form.
Other language that supports this claim are words such as beauteous joy and dizzy rapture to describe
the experience of looking down upon Tintern Abbey s splendor. Further within the reading we find
that the sublime is often tantamount to mystery and a deep sense of the unknown. However, this
mystery to Wordsworth is not a haunting one. The following quotation expands on this characteristic
of the sublime. Of aspect more sublime; that blessed

Women s Job Market And Qualifying For Senior Positions Essay
With more and more women participating in the job market and qualifying for senior positions, gender
diversity in senior and executive positions is of significance to the development of a company
(Johns,2013). Research studies show that companies with more females in top positions perform better
than those with fewer or no women. However, the phenomenon that women are underrepresented
exists globally, state Terjesen and Singh (2008). Although the status of the women s workforce in
senior occupations in the world in the last few decades has been improved in many countries and
regions(Kemp Madsen Davis,2015), women still remain outsiders in senior positions in some
counties. According to the data provided by Deloitte (2015), women in India occupy fewer than 10%
of seats on boards and fewer than 5% of board chairs while Norway has legislated that 40% of the
boardroom of public companies must be women, which has been achieved within a few years. The
initial progress of Norway for women impressed many western countries and these countries tried to
follow the same suit(Lang,2010). In political areas, the percent of national parliament seats held by
women of India is only 11.97% and is 7.33% lower than female representation in governments around
the world. However, Norwegian women s participation in government takes up 39.64%. Many factors
may have an impact on this case. This essay, therefore chooses the two countries which have huge

[[ The Guest is a small story which can usually be found in a compilation of Camus works or in a

For example, the very fact that Daru has separated himself from society by taking the teaching post in
the desert demonstrates the idea of Individualism. He must free himself from the constraints of a smo
thering civilization by moving to a region which is completely open, bounded only by the horizon and
the sky. Camus wishes to show that only when a man realizes that he can be distinct and separate from
the whole of humanity is he capable of becoming whole within himself. The forcing of the prisoner
into Daru s care shows the unwanted and unrequested obligations which governments thrust upon
individuals. When
Balducci tells him that he must take the Arab to the prison in Tinguit, the teacher can hardly believe
the officer is telling him the truth.
After he realizes that the people in power expect him to follow their orders, Daru is almost Cain like
in his objection, The orders? I m not... I mean, that s not my job (1898). Certainly, such a reply does
remind the reader of Cain s reply to God after the murder of Abel: I am not my brother s keeper.
However, this is not the intent of Camus.
Daru is not the killer; the Arab is the one who has committed murder.
It would be more appropriate to consider Daru as Seth, the new

Ree s motivation to find her father is primarily based on her loyalty to family in order to keep her
home and protect her two siblings, Sonny (Isaiah Stone) and Ashlee (Ashlee Thompson). This form of
crime genre story does not involve the typical detective for hire protagonist often found in detective
stories, such as The Big Sleep. In contrast to Ree s family motives, Phillip Marlowe is a detective that
works for money in order to help wealthy benefactors, such as General Sternwood, to resolve personal
matters outside of law enforcement. Marlowe s language defines the upper class interactions with
wealthy employers that he must deal with on a regular basis:

which does not involve payment in the investigation into her father s death. Ree s interaction with
local police and drug dealers is often far more rural in its language style: Ree: This fella with the

the students would do jumping jacks until the music came back on. They did this warm up for about 5
minutes and then went back to their spots and sat down. Mrs. McFarland went back to the front of the

Visual Information Processing
The human brain is capable of perceiving and interpreting information or stimuli received through the
sense organs (i.e., eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and skin) (Weiten, 1998). This ability to perceive and
interpret stimulus allows the human being to make meaningful sense of the world and environment
around them. However, even as the human being is able to perceive and interpret stimuli information
through all sense organs, stimuli is most often or primarily interpreted using the visual (eyes) and

Visual Impairments When damage to certain regions of the brain occurs, conditions may develop
where one is able to register visual information but incapable to distinguish anything (Anderson,
2009). Consequently, difficulties with visual impairments can include an inability within the brain to
interpret and or process visual information (Anderson, 2009). Thus, visual perception impairments or
disorders typically refer to the inability to make sense of information received through sight (the eyes)
(Weiten, 1998). One such visual perception disorder is visual agnosia. Visual agnosia refers to the
...inability to recognize objects that results neither from general intellectual loss nor from a loss of
basic sensory abilities, (Anderson, 2009, p. 32). There are generally two types of visual agnosia:
apperceptive agnosia and associative agnosia. Apperceptive agnosia is the inability to recognize or
draw simple shapes as they are shown or represented. Associative agnosia is the ability to recognize
and copy drawings of simple and complex shapes. However, person with associative agnosia are
unable to recognize the complex objects (Anderson, 2009). Visual agnosia can drastically affect one s
ability to learn. For example, a child with visual agnosia may find it difficult to recognize letters and
numbers, thereby making it difficult to learn to read and perform other tasks imperative for retaining

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day
Introduction The Sonnet 18 Shall I compare thee to a summer s day is around the most admired and
prominent of the 154 poems of William Shakespeare . Most researchers concur that the true recipient
of the lyric, the mate of pleasant toward oneself, whom the artist is composing, is a man, however the
sonnet is generally used to portray a lady. In the piece, the pleasant toward oneself contrasts his
adoration with a June through August, and contends that his affection is superior to summer (Kennedy
Gioia). He additionally states that your beau will live everlastingly through the expressions of the
lyric. Researchers have discovered parallels between this poem and sonnets Tristia and Amores of

hot, it made us Marylanders lethargic. Only three more hours... My dad unenthusiastically yelled to us.
South of the border had marked about 75 percent of hour drive there. Guyssss get upppp, My dad
groggily tried to stir me and my sister from a peaceful slumber, although he himself tired too. Last

Financial situation In the administrator s report, Mr Alan Sinclair reported that a surplus of $192,852
had been achieved in the last year. Although Lifeline is expanding and its income increasing, the
sources of this income are rapidly changing. Over the last three years government funding has gone
from 32 to 16.5 per cent of total income, and for the current year it is possible that it will reduce still
further a situation which has meant that Lifeline Brisbane has had to become more self sufficient in
generating its own funds. During the last three years income from trading activities has increased from
43 to 62 percent of the total. Non trading income has declined slightly as a percentage from 25 to 21.
Lifeline Brisbane has a software system which helps manage the following areas: accounting, word
processing, telephone counsellor s roster, payroll, warehouse, fund raising, counselling statistics, the
consumer credit counselling service and the resource manual and library. Given the fact that Lifeline
Brisbane, despite government cutbacks, is still able not only to cover the costs of maintaining services
to its clients but also to achieve a surplus, the administrator is satisfied with the system in operation
and sees no real need for any major changes. However, the business manager is not convinced that
Lifeline can simply go on doing more or less the same as it has been doing for many years. For one
thing, he believes that Lifeline should be

Restaurant And Thanksgiving Restaurant
During the Thanksgiving season the Hospitality industry is in the middle of one of their busiest times
of the year. This is the truest for restaurants and hotels, as many people gather around with family and
go out to dinner more often, or when family flies into town and stays in a hotel. This busy time of year
shows many of the same patterns annually, as well as cause some problems along the way.
Every year the restaurant industry experiences many more and larger groups of people around the
Thanksgiving holiday. These larger groups make management a little more difficult as traditionally,
food takes a little longer, service is more rushed, and everyone including employees and customers are
a little on edge. However, people are escaping the stress of Thanksgiving dinner by letting the
restaurants do all the work. A study showed that in 2011 six percent of those surveyed said they
planned to eat out for Thanksgiving. Of the people who eat Thanksgiving at home in 2017, 9 percent
said they would pick up parts of their meals, and four percent said they d buy a complete meal. That
means nearly one in four diners are not going to do all the work of fixing Thanksgiving dinner. In
another survey thirty one percent said they d eat in a restaurant where they traditionally go on
Thanksgiving Day. Thirty percent said they d go to a restaurant that they use for special occasions.
Lastly, twenty one percent are going to a restaurant where they are regulars. The last reason for so

Jefferson City Comparison
Every town or city in the world is unique in its own way. They have defining factors that set them
apart from one another. These factors include poverty, population, sex, unemployment, and many
other features. These specific aspects are all apart of demography; the scientific study of population,
composition, and factors such as health, race, ethnicity, income, and more. Demography varies greatly
by location and by comparing two places, such as Jefferson City and St. Louis, Missouri, one can see
the variation of these features and how they influence health and overall life quality. You will see that
St. Louis and Jefferson City, although both located in Missouri, are two very different cities. Jefferson
City in located right in central Missouri.

A School Administrator For A Paper I Am A Great...
One of our teachers walked into my office a few months back and asked me
I need to interview a school administrator for a paper I m writing. Could you help me? (the unspoken
other part of this opening statement clearly being that the principal was in a meeting and, with the
assignment being due that evening, I represented a lack of other options). I agreed, and as he took a
seat and I swept some stacks of classroom data and notes from between us, he started out with his first
question:
So, what does it take to be a great administrator?
Rather than immediately ply him with the standard pablum of assessment data cycles , data centered
leadership and dynamic stakeholder involvement that all leadership textbooks, far removed professors
of administration, and seemingly further removed bureaucratic departments preach as gospel, I sat
back and thought for a second before responding.
You re a teacher. What do YOU think makes a great administrator?
What followed was a rich and organic discussion made all the better because I had delegated the effort
of a response, which both allowed the teacher an opportunity to share his thoughts with me while
simultaneously couching the whole exercise within the framework of stakeholder feedback , which
would look good on my evaluation later in the year. I am brilliant.
The traits that we discussed are not unique, nor are they earth shattering, and as with any list there is
room for additions. However, I would say that these

  • 3. Examples Of Classification Of Business Students Classification of Business Students As members of a team studying at State Colleges, students are individuals. As a team, however, they are a collage of different individuals working together to achieve a common goal. The goal, in this case, is a business management degree. No matter how common their goal is as a team, students, as individuals, have a unique path to achieving it. Some team members have an interactive style. In other words, they have the tendency to be fast paced, and spontaneous. This is fine and works well with a couple of the dominant styles in the group as they see eye to eye on the speed of completing tasks. On the other hand, there is a cautious style with the team that has a slower paced approach to tasks. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nonetheless, they must always maintain perspective by seeking to be less emotional and intense about non critical situations. Taking a stress management course and learning simple breathing exercises to deal with pressure will be best for an impresser. Another style is the predominantly behavioral cautious style, which is also known as the master minder. The master minder is said to be more guarded and less indirect than most other cautious styles. The primary goal motivating this type of behavior is to increase opportunities for unique and significant personal accomplishments. This type of person express themselves more by what he or she does than what he or she says. Consequently, this person has strong needs to choose their own goals and to work independently. They incline to be primary idea generators and developers, and they have little interest in dealing with implementation details. Some of their tendencies are being focused and self controlled with people and also being focused on the future, especially in concerning ideas and opportunities. Sometimes they have a tendency to over analyze and possibly procrastinate when they re under pressure. Although they do take some calculated risk when making decisions, they also enjoy planning, monitoring, and measuring. However, to improve his or her educational achievements, a person with this type of behavior needs to work on being less guarded and more direct when communicating with others. • 4. Paradox Of Grief One of the themes that that we covered in lecture is grief, including the different types of grief that people experience, and the ways in which people learn to deal with grief. In life, we will all experience the death of someone close to us at one point in our lives. Because their death may be very hard on us, grieving will help us get through our daily lives and help us heal from this pain. Everyone responds to a loss in their lives in different ways, depending on the type of person he/she is and the cause of death of their loved one. When we experience a difficult loss in our lives, we respond by grieving and learning to accept this loss. According to Kastenbaum, there are many types of grief, including: normal and complicated grief, anticipatory grief, resolved and unresolved grief, and hidden and disenfranchised grief. Specifically, Kastenbaum explains how grief should be resolved within a reasonable period of time, but at the same time, the loss of a crucial relationship is never completely resolved: we move on with our lives, but we will never be the same again (Kastenbaum, 350). This reminds me of Susan Patron s the Higher Power of Lucky. In this book, Lucky, a 10 year old girl, has to live her life with her mother s death and an absent father who calls ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the paradoxical truths that we discussed in lecture was that death leads to grief over loss; and yet death involves a new life, even gain (Lecture, May 16). This also relates to Lucky s situation because the death of her mother led to her grieving process, but it also made her look at life differently and gain from her experiences. Through grieving for her mother s death, Lucky was able to find her higher power and learn how to get through difficult situations in life. She is now also able to accept her new life as Brigitte legally adopts her and gain an understanding of life and death through her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To me, she is a pretty interesting subject to learn and talk about and I hope you are finding these letters interesting as well. Hmmm, your sister called me the other day. I am sorry to hear that you are between houses now. I am assuming that is why I have yet to receive a second letter. You shouldn t be stubborn and just move in with your sister. She will not think any less of you if you do. Moving away from that topic, this letter is going to contain some incredibility juicy information about a term of my choosing, in relation to Emily Dickinson of course. This is part of an assignment my professor likes to call critical terms. Basically, it s a list of terms that we, the students, have to write definitions to using our big and brainy brains. The term I picked and wrote a definition to was the word Authors Function. First, do you know the meaning of Authors Function? No? Animals are beaten and starved to death almost every day. Millions of animals die each year because of brutal and insensitive owners. Most people don t understand the feelings that animals have and honestly I don t understand it either but what I do understand is when I see an animal that has been abused, I can tell the way it acts toward people and their surroundings. • 10. Epiphanies in Joyce s Dubliners and Chaucer s Canterbury... James Joyce s Dubliners is a compilation of stories that all rely on character epiphanies in order to develop each story. These epiphanies change the tone of each story because each yields a negative change or reaction. In both Araby and The Dead , the characters realize or learn something about the world around them, which makes them second guess either themselves or the reason behind their actions. Geoffrey Chaucer s Canterbury Tales contains at least one tale that relies on an epiphany to help develop theme but it doesn t change the tone or course of the story, it just helps to portray the true meaning of the character. Each story involves an epiphany that causes the character to have a negative outlook on life. It changes the tone of the story completely. For example, in Araby a young boy has a negative experience at a bazaar, which alters his view of the world. He just wanted to impress an older girl that he loved because she couldn t go to Araby at all. He was so excited and mesmerized by the thought of the bazaar and possibly even winning the girl s love, that even the syllables of the word Araby were called to me through the silence in which my soul luxuriated and cast an Eastern enchantment over me (pg 17). World War I led to the deaths of over 70 million people in Europe, and destroyed the already weak infrastructure left from the imperialist age of the 19th century. During this time of rebuilding, Germany turned to people they believed would help them rebuild. The people who would rebuild would also destroy the freedoms of the German people through their aggressive takeover. This takeover by the German National Socialist Party, dubbed the Nazi Party by Bavarians, was defined for the brutality and the totalitarian government by which it ruled. So the question is, how did they take over? How did a party made from the hands of but 5 people manage to conquer all of Germany during the 1930s? This is due to the harsh stipulations enforced by the post war efforts of the allied powers and the following collapse of many European countries. Lack of International Cooperation led to the blaming of the Central Powers of Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, and the Ottoman Empire after the first World War. The only problem with this was that Germany was the only nation intact after the Armistice Day in 1918. Germany s Imperial government had been overthrown in the German November Revolution of 1918 and had been set up as the new Weimar Republic. This meant that, reluctantly, the German Reichstag had to accept blame for all damages created by the war and the Central Powers. • 23. Multi Step Synthesis Of Aspirin This experiment explored the multi step synthesis of synthesis acetylsalicylic acid commonly known as aspirin. A common procedure used in organic chemistry labs is multi step synthesis. this procedure involves a cascade of reactions that ultimately lead to a desire product. The series of reactions begins with commonly found or readily available reagents which are synthesized into products which can be used for a secondary reaction, and so on and so forth until the final desired product is synthesized (Ryerson Department of Chemistry, 2017). In this experiment the synthesis of aspirin was used to find the importance of the efficiency of multistep synthesis as well as a means to explore a number or purity tests. The purity tests used in this experiment were a melting point range test, a thin layer chromatography test, a ferric chloride test, and infrared spectroscopy. After the completion of the experiment it was found that the percent yield was 24% which is very low. This shows the importance of efficiency as the process of making aspirin, is a two step synthesis (Atienza et al., 2010) and 74% of theoretical product was converted into waste or lost. Also it was found that the end product was not pure aspirin as the sample of aspirin made failed two purity test. This revealed that not merely one purity test is not sufficient to denote a substance as pure. Struggling to Define Industry in the Industrial Disputes Act INTRODUCTION No other provision of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (hereinafter ID Act) has been under as much scrutiny as the definition of industry given under section 2(j). To avail the benefit of the ID Act, it is necessary for the worker to prove that his place of employment falls under the purview of the definition of industry in s 2(j). Over the years the judiciary has laid down certain tests and criteria to determine and limit (or as seen later, expand) the scope of the legislation to extend the benefits to workers in different establishments. One such issue was to examine if educational institutions (universities, schools, etc) would fall under s. 2(j). This essay starts by tracing the judicial developments with regard to educational institutions under s 2(j). ARE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS INDUSTRY ? The concern of education as industry arose for the first time in Corporation of Nagpur v Its Employees . It was held that the education department of the corporation was a service being provided and would therefore fall under industry . The question was again addressed in Delhi University v Ram Nath in 1963. The argument presented was that widest meaning should be given to s. 2(j) along the line of the decision in Hospital Mazdoor Sabha , wherein it had been stated that industry expressly included services . Something the speaker is looking in on with feelings of elation. Wordsworth definition of the word sublime is one of positivity, which is shown in the following quotation. ...felt along the heart; / And passing even into my purer mind / With tranquil restoration: feelings too / Of unremembered pleasure: (29 32). Wordsworth is giving us what is happening internally to our speaker. He is lulled by this picturesque countryside into complete tranquility and peace. He is even allowed the wonderful feeling of pleasure. For Wordsworth, the sublime is synonymous with pleasure of the purest form. Other language that supports this claim are words such as beauteous joy and dizzy rapture to describe the experience of looking down upon Tintern Abbey s splendor. Further within the reading we find that the sublime is often tantamount to mystery and a deep sense of the unknown. However, this mystery to Wordsworth is not a haunting one. The following quotation expands on this characteristic of the sublime. Of aspect more sublime; that blessed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 26. Women s Job Market And Qualifying For Senior Positions Essay With more and more women participating in the job market and qualifying for senior positions, gender diversity in senior and executive positions is of significance to the development of a company (Johns,2013). Research studies show that companies with more females in top positions perform better than those with fewer or no women. However, the phenomenon that women are underrepresented exists globally, state Terjesen and Singh (2008). Although the status of the women s workforce in senior occupations in the world in the last few decades has been improved in many countries and regions(Kemp Madsen Davis,2015), women still remain outsiders in senior positions in some counties. According to the data provided by Deloitte (2015), women in India occupy fewer than 10% of seats on boards and fewer than 5% of board chairs while Norway has legislated that 40% of the boardroom of public companies must be women, which has been achieved within a few years. The initial progress of Norway for women impressed many western countries and these countries tried to follow the same suit(Lang,2010). In political areas, the percent of national parliament seats held by women of India is only 11.97% and is 7.33% lower than female representation in governments around the world. However, Norwegian women s participation in government takes up 39.64%. Many factors may have an impact on this case. Anarchism in Albert Camus Short Story, The Guest Essay Anarchism in Albert Camus Short Story, The Guest [[ The Guest is a small story which can usually be found in a compilation of Camus works or in a World Literature anthology. Here, I have used the translation of The Guest found in the Norton Anthology of World Literature, 5th Edition. Since this is a critical essay on a particular story, it assumes that the reader has read the story. I do not believe that it will be nonsensical if you have not read The Guest yet, but I do encourage you to read the story so the ideas I put forth can be understood better in their context. ]] It is my firm belief that the individual is the key to understanding human existence; further, ... He must free himself from the constraints of a smo thering civilization by moving to a region which is completely open, bounded only by the horizon and the sky. Camus wishes to show that only when a man realizes that he can be distinct and separate from the whole of humanity is he capable of becoming whole within himself. The forcing of the prisoner into Daru s care shows the unwanted and unrequested obligations which governments thrust upon individuals. When Balducci tells him that he must take the Arab to the prison in Tinguit, the teacher can hardly believe the officer is telling him the truth. After he realizes that the people in power expect him to follow their orders, Daru is almost Cain like in his objection, The orders? I m not... I mean, that s not my job (1898). Certainly, such a reply does remind the reader of Cain s reply to God after the murder of Abel: I am not my brother s keeper. However, this is not the intent of Camus. Visual Information Processing Paper Week 2 PSYCH640 Visual Information Processing Roland Browne PSYCH/640 December 16, 2013 Visual Information Processing The human brain is capable of perceiving and interpreting information or stimuli received through the sense organs (i.e., eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and skin) (Weiten, 1998). This ability to perceive and interpret stimulus allows the human being to make meaningful sense of the world and environment around them. However, even as the human being is able to perceive and interpret stimuli information through all sense organs, stimuli is most often or primarily interpreted using the visual (eyes) and auditory (ears) sense organs (Anderson, 2009). Consequently, difficulties with visual impairments can include an inability within the brain to interpret and or process visual information (Anderson, 2009). Thus, visual perception impairments or disorders typically refer to the inability to make sense of information received through sight (the eyes) (Weiten, 1998). One such visual perception disorder is visual agnosia. Visual agnosia refers to the ...inability to recognize objects that results neither from general intellectual loss nor from a loss of basic sensory abilities, (Anderson, 2009, p. 32).
