An app to prepare for coding interviews on the go
Meet Stuart the Student
Stuart is a Junior studying Computer Science at the
University of Michigan. After going to the career fair, he’s
got an interview with Google scheduled for tomorrow. The
problem is that Stuart is in class the whole day, he has two
projects due this week, and he’s hosting a meeting for the
Robotics Club in the evening - he doesn’t have time to
study for a technical interview.
Normally, Stuart stays up late, anxiously crams in a few
Leetcode questions, and wakes up sleep-deprived the next
day, hoping his interviewer asks him a technical question
he’s already familiar with.
He hopes to increase his chances by looking up potential
interview questions and other company information online
in his spare time waiting for class to start, taking the bus,
and eating to so he can feel better prepared.
Stuart as a Persona
Think ● For students like Stuart, there’s not enough time in one’s schedule to set aside for the time-intensive
demands of working through interview preparation problems online.
See ● Though his schedule is swamped, Stuart realizes he has a lot of time in-between commitments that, if
added together, might allow him more preparation time.
● Stuart sees many students kill time unproductively on their phone during their “in-between” time.
Feel ● Stuart feels stressed, and anxious for his interview
● He wishes he could take more advantage of his “in-between” time to prepare
Do ● Stuart stays up late and gives up on sleep the night before to cram leetcode questions
● Stuart looks up company information and potential interview questions on his phone to prepare
Use Case
As a CS student with an impending technical interview,
I want to practice as many coding questions as I can
so that I can feel prepared for my interview and get an internship
As a busy CS student with a tight schedule,
I want to interview prep instead of wasting time on my phone
so that I can make use of my “in-between” time
